Topic: Been surprised by your own reaction before? | |

Have you ever done something so uncharacteristic, that you were shocked at your own reaction? Have you ever had to ask yourself...where the hell did that come from? |

i am certain it was from "one" of my personalities

Yup, and after I figured it out, I forgot what it was, because I changed my attitude.

oh yes
a few of my friends and i were having a few beers one friend, Tom, is almost TOO republican...so bad that he'd never think otherwise (worse than quickstep) anyway, me being not so political at the time and listening to the conversation turn to politics and then harsh...i was tired of it so i got right in his face, grabbed his coat and told him to shut his f***ing mouth and that he sounded like he was running diahrea out his lips. later i apologized for being so rude *puts head down* |

Nope I blame it on my invisible friend/friends. It changes, on the day, sometimes one is made at the other or one is made at me I or I them. And then the voices in my head get made if I try to blame things on them, and trust me mad voices are NOT good voices, see we have learned to keep them happy. They like going for coffee and having a conversation. So if anybody is interested they are available.
What was the question again ? |

Yeah. Sometimes you just have to roll the dice.

Yeah. Sometimes you just have to roll the dice. Yea, and that is when I usually crap out. |

Yep.......and I got my wrist slapped by a mod....

Only personality #4 does that. The other 11 personalities don't let her come out anymore.

Ohh heck ya at times when I normally would have lashed out and really told someone what I truly thought of them. I would put more thought into it for some reason or the other maybe it was out of pity knowing no matter what I said they would never grasp the meaning of it anyway. And then realized I really enjoyed it much more to see them more confused then they already were.

Yes, but I think it was whoever was me before me that did it...wasn't me!

You bet. Just recently I had just that very thing happen. Everyone hunts at my work. One of the guys had just brought in an elk heart and ate it for breakfast. So when I overheard him telling someone else that he had to put one of his cats down....before I even realized what I had said, out of my mouth came, "Did you eat its heart?!?!" I couldn't believe I had just said that!!! I had to go find him and apologize for such an insensative remark. Fortunately his idea of putting the cat down was digging a hole, putting the cat in it and shooting it...then filling up the hole. He found the remark to be hilarious and proceeded to tell everyone in the office what I had said.....and they all thought it was funny...

Wow, people...I just got worried about my sweetie when I didn't hear from him all night.
It's not like me to be a worry wart, so I felt pretty ridiculous by the time he called and I knew nothing was wrong. |
