The Gasoline used in Alaska is much different than most states. It has to be low sulpher... Pollution control... It has additives that keep it stable at low temperatures.... this makes it more expensive.....see California's prices.. so why do you think it's so high in Alaska

$5.04 in upstate NY (over the summer) WOW!! Highest we ever got in my part of Iowa is 3.99, thought that was bad. The same with St. Louis. We're down to 2.16 at least that's what I got it for yesterday. My tank is full for the first time in a long time. Lucky you. It was $2.75 at the cheap station here yesterday. Most others in the area are about 15 cents higher.

it's now down to about $2.45 (average) per gallon in new york whereas in the AK, CA, HI it's still much over 3 I'm still $3.33 in upstate NY

I've been getting my gas for less than two dollars a gallon for about a week. If anybody in the Houston area wants to know the location of that gas station, send me a message. :D
