Some states have decriminalized small amounts of marijuana for personal consumption. Some states have decriminalized marijuana for medical use.

The Feds refuse to recognize that and continue to prosecute users in those state as felonies

which is right? Do the people decide or the Government?

and does God care if anyone smoke marijuana or not?

I think it should be up to the people. God invented it, maybe he tried it that's why it's still here...

it shouldn't matter what god or anyone thinks, it's up to the person who's smoking it

I quit about fifteen years ago for the same reason. It was just too de-motivational. Not to say that applies to everyone, it was just my issue with it

But I started up again lately for medical reasons (so I rationalize). it was actually unpleasant at first. didn't know whether to jump up or sit down.

I pretty much always have...and as Steve said...it was put on this earth by God...no different than any other plant...just makes you feel at ease...really relieves the back problems also...I have been asked the question lately that if it is wrong, why do we have thc receptors in the brain?

For the people and by the people, most smoke it and even more have nothing against it.. it has no potential for harm besides the occasional idiot that does it and does something dumb and the rest are blamed for it on CNN.But still it will remain illegal for a while..but history repeats itself just like alcohol prohibition, eventually they will be be naive and keep making it illegal, or fight the losing battle of keeping it from people. Its not cocaine,or crank, and mostly the reason its still is illegal is that its too easy too "make" and so the government couldnt tax it.Odd how pills with side affects are ok,but only the side affect of giggling and munchies is bad..

yeah it helps with that

and it helps the post dialysis "washed out" feeling that everyone hates

only problem is, marijuana lowers your blood pressure (sometimes drastically) and increases your pulse. so if I stand up too fast it's lights out

Here, the right to possess in your own home is written right into the state constitution. The Federal Government would be wasting their time to prosecute anyone in possession of less than what the state allows for (32 grams) and isn't likely to pursue anyone unless they have a better reason (i.e. involvement in other illegal activities).

As for whether an individual should or shouldn't smoke pot, it should be up to them. How ridiculous is it that you can decide whether or not to abort a child based on the premise that you have a choice on what happens to your body but you can't light a joint. You can consume a lethal amount of alcohol or smoke you way to lung cancer but don't burn the green stuff!

Did you know...this is amazing to me...In the state of Alaska, marijuana is legal in more places than alcohol. I mean, f'cukin right on eh? haha (p.s. don't move here.)

I've been stoned by a joint a time or two haha

and mostly the reason its still is illegal is that its too easy too "make" and so the government couldnt tax it

I have always thought it was still illegal because they can't pinpoint when you are high so enforcement of DUI would be too difficult.

In Indiana they will nail you for being under the influence of a controlled substance....my son was just pulled over and they found two joints...said they wouldn't bust him for the weed but should give him a ticket for having shi**y weed...and TOLD HIM which neighborhood to buy in to get the best

that's what I'm saying...right now they can do that because possession IS a crime but if it weren't there is no test that can definitively pinpoint when a person is or isn't high. It's approximate and varies by the frequency of use, body type and even the metabolism of the user.

Except here if they suspect it, they will take you directly to the er and have blood draw...which is stupid...my son keeps telling me, it's not illegal to smoke...it's just illegal to possess itlaugh laugh
