haha I think they are both elitist
most of the people in this country are pretty middle of the road maderate. a little liberal here and a little conservative there. But these two represent the elite of both sides. I wonder how many houses FDR or Kennedy had? |

...i dont think he's on the level of having an american idol style popularity though... it's not the only attribute he possesses, the character he exhibits by refusing to lower himself to personal attacks during debates, ... my point is not that you should vote for him soley because he possesses the skill of being able to inspire masses of people to be the best they can be... I disagree, Jasmine. I think Obama is right up there with Kelly Clarkson...unfortunately. I further disagree - Obama has funded some grossly offensive attacks on McCain, and still continues to do so via his TV ads and in his public speeches at various times throughout his campaign. I again further disagree - I will not, and never have, voted for the one who "inspires" me to be best I can be. That's my own job to tend to...not a politician's. I personally vote for the strongest candidate who can effectively and efficiently lead our country as a whole based on their experience and positions on the issues at hand...regardless of how many homes they own. Did I happen to mention...I will be voting for Obama?

Did I happen to mention...I will be voting for Obama? oh dear... i'm sorry i just gotta do it... ok this HERE will be my last post on politics breathless when you said its your job to inspire the best out of yourself thats true... but what about on a societal level? leadership is about motivation, its about getting people to do what you want them to do, to put it bluntly... charting out a course and encouraging people to follow. if that type of leadership wasnt important then there would be no need for managers within organisations because all employees should be able to do their work without direction or influence. America, after the disillusionment and failure of the last eight years needs a leader that people arent jaded by, who can as you said, be the strongest candidate to efficiently run the country, but he cant do that singlehandedly nor should we expect him to. we should be expecting that he will rally a team of persons who will work toward a common goal within government as well as rally the wider americam public toward a stated national objective as well. being able to lead is not a trivial quality that people shouldnt consider when voting. Who really respects McCain and his decisions he's been making throughout this campaign anymore than they respected Bush and his decisions throughout his presidency?? |

You will do it again.
 I know a lot of people that lost respect for McCain after he picked Palin. I know a few Repubs. that won't vote for him now. They don't like the decisions he's making and how he's handling his campaign among other things. |

they are both horrible choices for many different reasons. so don't try and kid yourself. But it is funny to see people argue which is more horrible than the other. I just love how neither side is talking about real issues in this whole campaign. at least its heartening to read that your generation isnt being fooled.... |
