I definitely hold grudges.
You only get one chance with me.
If you blow it, you're done.

Do what you say you're going to do. It's even written on my checks.... printed. It is my life's motto. Oh, and do it to the best of your ability too.

Yes, I get angry. A broken promise means your word is nothing. Of course, it depends on the situation, but I say if you aren't going to keep your word, say so and be honest.

Depends on how significant the promise was. If it was something minor, I can get over it. But if it was something big and really important to me, I will likely hold a grudge, at least for awhile. Sorry.

Depends on what it's about.

"I promise to get you a chicken sandwich from McDonald's" and it turns out to be McNuggets -- ?? Meh.

Bigger things have bigger consequences. But I'm usually pretty forgiving. Nobody's perfect, except for what's-her-name at the grocery store.

I really have only held one grudge in my life, and that was toward my ex-mother-in-law. And even that has diminished to the point where it's little more than a grudgette.

WOW.....you'll learn..

Dubz......This world is SO full of unknowns and unpredictability that you have to forgive up to a point. You never know why it may have happened.

Now, habitual broken promises???? Screw that!!! Sounds like just a liar to me!! That IS a deal breaker!!!

I don't break promises.
If I say I'm going to do something, I do it.
That is why I get so mad when people can't give me that same respect back.

I hear you.... I really do. I am the same way. It's why I have a few great friends rather than a bunch of acquaintances. My best friend can call me and say, Oh, I'm tired and too lazy to have lunch. I'm short on cash and in a biotchy mood. Can we reschedule? She'd never just not call... and knows I'd never ever try and make her feel guilty. I'd thank her for her honesty.

That's good. I honestly don't even think I have a friend that will do that. Ha.

She is a very good friend, and understands me well. I'm lucky..... you will find people who understand what you need.

Lifes to short to hold grudges. I wont say I havent held grudges (some for good reasons some stupid) People make mistakes, eventually you'll learn to rely on YOURSELF.

My dad was a huge proponent in "all you have is your word" and that is how I was raised.

Yes things happen, and at times it's not possible to keep your word, but then you go out of your way to make the situation better.

As Lex said bringing me mcnuggets instead of a chicken sandwich isn't the issue, but to lie...and that's what not keeping your word is, is not tolerated in my book.

"say what you mean and mean what you say" I don't tolerate people that don't have that tatooed in their skull....

You have to put yourself in the other person's shoes, when you tell them you are going to do something and they are relying on you to do it, how would you feel if they backed out with a mamby pamby excuse???

but you know this is part of the reason why I'm a b*tch...I don't tolerate laziness... and not keeping your word is not only a lie, it's being lazy and cowardly.

It all goes back to having ballz... if you got 'em you don't have to lie, you can tell the truth.
