Ohh had one that from the same site from day one started calling me honey, sweetie, baby ect... And proceeded to tell me how well we would do together ect then comes out the ohh I live so and so now but I'm from the UK ect....hummm ya and you want your visa by when?

Well Free, they may want more than just the vodka and bread, probably a ticket thrown in for good luck too. I actually met a guy from Greece who turned out to be a flake. But a kid from Dublin, Ireland has been nice. I am having fun talking to people from other countries, but just talking and making friends. Most of the sites let you do a profile for free, but you can't see their pictures, can only read part of the profiles, and can't communicate unless they send you something, then you can sometimes respond, but you can't start a communication with someone. That is okay, I am only playing around, killing time. I'm sure the ticket thing is true. But I'm relatively sure that it's some Russian mafia guy that would be getting the money, and the girl is a figment of his imagination and photoshop. I know a girl here from(sounds like CHECK-O-SLAV-A-KIA) (can anyone spell that?) She's a real sweetheart and kind to everyone. She's only 25 but we struck up a conversation in a restaurant and are fast friends. I introduced her to a friends son hoping they would hit it off but..that kid must be gay. (NO OFFENSE..lol) She's absolutely beautiful and such a good kid. I shouldn't be speaking badly of them over there because they only went through what I believe America is soon...a total economic collapse. And they've had it ROUGH. They still eat the fat and things that we cut off of meat and throw away IF they can get it. But I still prefer to just meet a woman in my day to day life and can't see paying for a dating site. YET! Hell, I may have to buy a Phillipino wife if I don't get any more appealing. lol Don't reckon I will since I'm pretty well set on who I am. I smile more since Im older and am more easy going (yes, I was worse) but thats the only good thing. I have to agree with you, a lot of the Russians are good people and they are having a very hard time. It is just hard to know who is a scammer now and who isn't. And, our economy is sinking fast too. I think part of our issue, as we get older, and have been burnt, is that we have raised the bar higher and know more what we want out of relationships and are not as willing to just "settle" for what comes along anymore. We want the "real" thing, true happiness, and some people really find that. Anyways, good luck in your search.  |

Yeah, Kristi, the 29 y/o kid from Dublin told me I was "hot" and I told him he needed glasses as I was laughing and falling off my chair.
 We got into a little "tiff" over things, but it was so funny. He is sweet though, not offensive, and fun to talk to.

I have to agree with you, a lot of the Russians are good people and they are having a very hard time. It is just hard to know who is a scammer now and who isn't. And, our economy is sinking fast too. Just open to someone if I meet them. Patience and a healthy bit of skepticism is the way I go. We tend to choose more carefully as we get older. Is there anything else good about it? |
