Why do some people think that just because you are approaching 30 and still single.... that you are gay!!??

People have bizarre preconceived notions about a lot of things. Just ignore them.

Because people are idiots, that's why. They don't seem to get that some people just haven't found the person they wanna get involved with, for whatever reasons may be out there.

It could be professional, monetary, social, or something completely different. Various circumstances may and often do impede on someone's ability to get into a relationship or even marriage by a certain age, and it's NOT the fault of the person over 30.

I am way way past 30 and almost 40. Someone throw me out, I have expired!!!

OUCH! Then that would make me the moldy forgotten leftovers in the back of the fridge...

You know, for me, when I was in my 20's, I really thought I knew about life, and that I was ready to be a grown up. BOY, WAS I WRONG! If I only knew then what I know now!

Now that I'm past that, I've feel like I have finally grown up, and am mature enough to make those life altering decisions. And I know that everyone is different, but personally I feel, that it's worth waiting until you are at least 30 to make a major decision like settling down with someone. Besides, what's the hurry? It's not like your life is over once you reach that age. If it was, I'd be considered an old maid!

my best friend got married a couple of years ago...she was 39.......he was 44...neither had been married prior....now they have twins.....

I've gotten this, more generally as a "there's something wrong with him" feeling, but the gay thing does seem to come up pretty often. Even with me flirting with every female within a 50 ft. radius!

Anyway, I'm mildly pleased that I haven't made any mistakes along the marriage and children lines that I regret.

I thought EVERYBODY who was single was gay....
