Wonder what Division I pharmacies are?

Perhaps hospital pharmacies?

You have a link Winx? The info might be in the definitions section of the law.

I am curious.

The fact they don't sell birth control doesn't bother me since they are upfront about it and probally wont be getting informed women as clientele.
On the other hand they should return the script or call it in to the pharmacy of choice if a person wanders in and is unaware of their policy.

if they didn't give me my script back they would have to call the police to get me outta there. I wouldn't leave without it. I don't give a damn who's morals they think they're following.

The market will prevail. Either the customer will get it elsewhere or someone will fill the void. Heck, most insurance companies require you to get it mail order now anyhow.

What insurance company is that? noway

Why do I have to wait in line at the pharmacy?

Why did stores in my area build drive-thru pharmacies?

Insurance plans provided by corporations mostly require maintenance drugs to be purchased by mail order in large numbers... 30 or 90 days. If I go to the pharmacy more than once for a maintenance drug I have to pay out of pocket.

Soon I'll probably have to order them from China surprised

Tngxl,

That is not how it is in my city. I don't know a single soul that has to do that. My ex's brother-in-law is a pharmacist and he has more than enough work available.

The only people that I know that order meds like that are the elderly that are getting them from Canada. And that's because they can't afford the meds. at the pharmacy.

Hmmm... I know of 3 major companies here in town whose insurance requires it. It's cheaper for the insurance company, but I don't like it at all. We complained, but what can you do?

I was just thinking. Wouldn't that mean that pharmacists in your area wouldn't have work? They would be out of a job.

We have a pharmacy college here, btw.

I am old school. I don't know those space aged birth control techniques like...pulling out.

Only birth control that ever really worked for me was my "Birth Control Glasses" that the military issued me....(Trust me, there is no possible way to get laid wearing military issued glasses.)

It is a shame. Pharmacists will be losing jobs that way.

All the non-maintenance meds we still get at the pharmacy. If we get an infection or have a surgery and need pain meds, we still go to the pharmacy. But anything we might take regularly... birth control, blood pressure meds, etc. My son has Crohns and his meds have to be mail order.

Maybe I'm wrong and it's not as common as I think. I just know a number of people with the same requirement.

That's interesting. I will ask my ex's brother-in-law (pharmacist) if he ever heard of that the next time I see him.

Sorry about your son having Crohns.flowerforyou

from a completely non religious stand point, good for them they have the right to sell and not sell what ever they want.
They are also health professionals and have a duty to those entrusted with their care. From the Code of Ethics for Pharmacists: "[a] pharmacist promises to help individuals achieve optimum benefit from their medications, to be committed to their welfare, and to maintain their trust."

In the end they are a store selling products, I don't see any thing morally wrong with selling a product your not OK with, that's like bashing a Walmart for not selling guns, when its their duty to give you low low prices on all your needs!

After all those woman can always go to a chain pharmacy if they really need birth control, if its an extra drive so what, its not like you gotta buy it every single day.

this is just people complaining about an inconvenience.

I have never been in a wal-mart yet that hasn't sold guns. Bought my black powder rifle about a month ago. so yeah offtopic entirely
