New drug in Schools...

Please pass this on even if you do not have kids in school. Parernts should know about this killer drug.

This is a new drug known as 'strawberry quick '.
There is a very scary thing going on in the schools right now that we all need to be aware of.

There is a type of crystal meth going around that looks like strawberry pop rocks (the candy that sizzles and 'pops' in your mouth). It also smells like strawberry and it is being handed out to kids in school yards. They are calling it strawberry meth or strawberry quick. Although most drug labs don't test for flavoring.

Kids are ingesting this thinking that it is candy and being rushed off to the hospital in dire condition. It also comes in chocolate, peanut butter, cola, cherry, grape and orange.

Please instruct your children not to accept candy from strangers and even not to accept candy that looks like this from a friend (who may have been given it and believed it is candy) and to take any that they may have to a teacher, principal, etc. immediately.

If you wanted to poison kids there are easier and cheaper ways then handing out meth . . . stupid and crazy.

If making meth from ephedrine from over the counter medications that have ephedrine in them is costly, so they tend to charge alot for there product to make up for the costs of materials.

I would guess this is fairly isolated based on those very factors.

Adding flavoring and food coloring to drugs is not new, but again giving it to unsuspecting children is heinous in the extreme and if your about profit (as in drug dealers) its a stupid waste of product and draws attention to you that you cannot afford.

Most people addicted to meth smoke the drug (adding coloring, or flavoring would only taint a product intended for smoking) so this would NOT be something that most dealers for profit would do . . .

I know about this from my uncle who was a narc officer for a long time a profession I had considered before . . . . But again I know alot about alot, not tooting my horn, Im just a studious looser interested in all things.

So my point is that, yes educate your kids you should do this regardless of incidents like this, but don't scare the crap out of them either, its probably not happening in your neck of the woods.

If you have heard of this from someone in the local neighborhood, please work with your local police to get any info you can into there hands.

I think most meth cooks, do it to make money, not to give to random little kids on playgrounds to send them to the hospital. Here's the Snopes article.

So much going on these days and as a parent; whether it's fact or not....I talk to my son about things that I hear. Just in-case it ends up being true.
