An engagement ring....other than that...something truely from the heart. Most likely not store bought. Something somewhat out of charachter for him...building me something or repairing something that has been broken for a long time.
If it HAS to be purchased....a weekend in a fancy hotel, with theater (or comedy) tickets. On the other hand for this time of year...a suprise haunted hayride with a flask filled with Baileys sounds down right romantic to me too. Oh too many choices...whatever it is it HAS to come from the heart! |

Aside from avocados...I would have to say some piece of engraved jewelry. Nothing expensive....but nice and that says something to her that she can always look at.
Or a locket to keep your picture in. Or mother's jewelry.... Or hey!! How about a day at the spa.....? |

OK, so for my birthday, right at the stroke of midnight, I was awaken to "Have I told you lately that I love you" And a kiss that was so soft I was sure I imagined it. The room, the house was lined with tea candles, making everything glow. There were rose petals everywhere making a path and at the end of the path is a small cake in the shape of a heart that simply says "My loves birthday", and one single candle. I was crying so hard cause it was so sweet and so romantic. That was the best birthday I ever had... |
