In the Christian view of heaven, what will you do for eternity?

Sing songs of praises to the Lord forever?

Play harps?

Mow the lawn?

Clean the many mansions?

Will you have a specific job?

Hopefully it would be person specific. For me, I would have my own private lake I could fish on for eternity.

And how will we occupy our time in this new order of life? The Scriptures tell us that in addition to engaging in united worship of God, we will serve (Rev. 22:3) and reign with Christ (Rev. 20:6; 22:5)

(1 John 2:28). Peter wrote that it was possible for us to enter Heaven triumphantly, or in a "stumbling" fashion (2 Pet. 1:10-11).
Jesus did say that in His kingdom "many who are first shall be last, and the last first" (cf. Matt. 19:30)

What is the nature of the reward that may be won or lost? Many passages speak of our heavenly reward in terms of the responsibility with which we will be entrusted by God when we reign with Christ in the new heaven and new earth. In Jesus' parable of the talents, He spoke of rewarding those who had been faithful by putting them "in charge of many things" in His kingdom (Matt. 25:21 23). In another place He spoke of putting some of us in places of authority over cities in His kingdom (Luke 19:17,19). To those who had stood by Him in His earthly trials, Jesus promised to place them "on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel" in His future kingdom, as well as to seat them at His side at His table (Luke 22:28-30)!

So are you not allowed to answer this question based on your own thoughts and expression and instead must utilize the scripture to explain what you think "might" happen?

It sounds to me like you will have a few choices of occupations to perform for all eternity. Lets see. He could possibly put you "in charge of many things." Alright that sounds awful vague. I imagine that god will be checking your resume and what you did on earth. The competition for these jobs will be fierce. Not everyone will be qualified for supervisory positions in god's opinion. You might end up working in HR or middle management, entrusted with very little. The pay might suck also. Is there room for advancement in heaven>?

Yes, but how does that work out on a day to day basis? It's like a job description. You know basically what the job is, but what do you do moment to moment in that job.

Oh Jeannie, it's going to be so beautiful, just you wait and see!

I'm going to live on a farm on a mountain with an assortment of interconnected lakes to west of the farm Each lake will be unique. Some will have small islands within them. They will all be large enough to navigate via a small sailboat or motor boat. They will have many small streams, brooks, rivers and tributaries that can investigated via canoe, rowboat or raft. Owl have several boats in my boat house. And I will even built wooden boats from scratch. There will natives on some of the islands. Always friendly and willing to teach me their talents and skills. They will be like children who always want to play.

There will be fishing but no hooks. The fish will play too! They'll grab the bait and fight the whole way in, and after you land them in your net you just toss them back in the water. They love it just like a dog loves to fetch a stick.

To the north will be the magic forest, the home to elves and leprechauns. Artgurl will be their queen and Creative Soul their king. They will be the rulers of the northern lands beyond.

To the east will be the ocean. It will be far below at the bas of the mountain, but not a steep drop. There will be many different pathways to get down there. More than you can imagine. The land between the mountain and the ocean will be magical and it will be rules by the witches. Ruth, and Lauri, Krimsa, and others will be the coven of the ocean forest.

The shore will be a tropical sandy beach with palm trees and kangaroos and panda bears and giraffes that play with crocodiles in a peaceful game of hide and seek. Jess Less will be the Goddess of the sea. Her crocodiles will take out to meet the waves, then transform into a surfboard to allow her to ride the wall of water in tubular bell of pipeline.

To the south, will be a desert but not deserted in the least, for in that land will reside the beasts known as dinosaurs and dragons. Puff the magic dragon will be the leader of the land. It will be like a living zoo that we can visit whenever we want. The only rule is to harm no beast or it may use you for a feast.

The farm itself will not be large, no more than a thousand acres whole. I'll farm it using unicorns who love to the tools they pull. But the land will be so fertile not much labor will need done. Owl have time for recreation and for doing things for fun.

Owl have a room of small aquariums and keep exotic fish. Owl have a room that's full of magic where I can manifest a wish. I develop all the pictures that I've taken on my treks. Include the most recent ones of Tyrannosaurs Rex. Owl have a little robot that I've build in my secret lab. And a little treadle sewing machine for making clothes when mind get drab.

My entire life will be homemade and that will be my job. To live out all eternity upon this little knob.
