Real people? I am spoiled. Real people are friendly/nice/cordial with me, all day long. Because I am irrepressibly cheery and sometimes genuinely humorous. Attitude is Everything!!!! But...back to the pre-vacation stuffed-nose Muriel diary.... Snot was used as bonding in the first pyramids. It had a higher meaning for ancient people than it does today.
