Topic: How would your dating life change if you won the lottery? | |
---|---|
Scenario: You are you, a person apparently looking for something. It
could be friends, a relationship, or your "soulmate". It has been a roller coaster ride of ups and downs. Then.. you win 33 million dollars in the lottery. Think seriously about this and tell us how it might affect your search and dating life. (For example, would you post in your profile that you were rich? Would you be concerned that people were dating you for your riches?) I'm interested in seeing if there's a difference in how males and females would handle the situation. I'm trying to find something thought provoking to discuss on here!! |

I would honestly would not put in my profile that I had 33 million
dollars because then women and ladies would think I am selfish or full of myself or some kind of a jerk even bragging about it. I'd give 32 million of those dollars away instantly to help with the country, gulf war veterans for medical care and troops that are coming home hurt, mamed or injured. the left over 1 million I have would go towards some things I only need and the rest away to the family...I don't need posessions but it depends on the person...but money shouldn't make the person regardless...especially since the Dollar is De-Valued by 45% anyways so it's becoming a weak currency so watch out!!! I'd purchase Gold and Silver at this time!! |

Ofcourse, i won't post it on my profile els i won't find the right
guy.... |

I would not put down in my profile that I was rich...#1 would you
believe it if I did put it down? #2 would you automatically write me thinking hmmm I might get some of that money? I don't think money makes a person...but I do think money creates a lot of problems. I myself, have had it both ways, dating someone with money and dating someone without. I myself, would rather date someone who has to work and live week to week. I have found that these people appreciate things so much better. Money does nothing but create a lot of havic in some peoples lives...yes having money is a good thing, but having to much money can become a problem. So give me someone that is full of love and we can live week to week...money means nothing with out love!! |

Chis,
Very interesting. I have kind of always thought that there should be a cap on lottery winnings. Let's say 10 million tax free. If you can't make it on 10 million, I don't think the other 23 million is going to make a difference except to prolong the inevitable. I don't think I could ever be rich. I would love to have enough money to be comfortable, but any beyond that could serve a better purpose elsewhere. It seems you think along those same lines. Kudos, my friend! |

Mary,
I clicked on your profile to see where you are coming from and got a little laugh (not from you, you seem like an ok person) but the Google ad that came up beside your picture was "Dating Wealthy Men". lol |

LOTTERY,ID BUILD MY DREAM HOUSE BY THE OCEAN,BUT THATS JUST IT A DREAM.IF I THE GUY HOWEVER GAINED MY TRUST,ID TELL HIM.AND TAKE HIM ON THE DATE OF A LIFE TIME!!!! |
BUT SHIT IF I WHERE RICH....THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE AS LONG AS
I WAS ALIVE..ALOT OF IT WOULD GO TO START CHARITIES OF DIFFERENT SORTS.ID BUILD MY HOUSE,WITH A RECORDING STUDIO THAT HAS SLEEPING QUARTERS FOR BAND WHO WOULD LIKE TO RECORD THEIR MUSIC.STICK A BUNCH IN TRUST FUNDS FOR MY KIDS AND THEIR FUTURE FAMILIES,PUT THE REST IN THE BANK AND LIVE OFF THE INTREST ONLY |

My dating search would change as it would be easy to relocate and/or travel to meet people. I am focusing on people closer to me because of the lack of a chance of meeting in person if to far away. No I would not tell any one I had that kind of money. I do not want gold diggers. I want someone to love me not my money. |
To be very technical, the question was, "How would your DATING life
change if you won the lottery?" I'd buy up all the dating sites and take first dibs on the ones I liked. |
i would drop my girl friends and leave the country!!!!

4fun06,
you could pay to have all your girlfriends 'disappear' and stay in the country. Andrew Wee www.WhoIsAndrewWee.com |

I'ld probably have people comming out of the wood work that I either
hadn't seen in 20 years or never met before. I bet that's why people who hit it big don't come forward right away. |

It wouldn't make a difference, I am still the same person...
Why would it make a difference whether I had money or not? I'm not looking to buy a partner, if I had monetary wealth it wouldn't make a difference.. |
I would still desire having a loving gent in my life.
that would'nt change. Prolly would desire it more...... |
Ps wouldn't put in profile I was rich.......
