Treadmill , stair stepper , and suggest weights for toning !! good luck !! these burn the most calories !! and yes lots of dancing !! i hate that stair stepper lol I haven't worked out in 3 yrs I will be lucky enough to get on the treadmill. |

Seriously I work at a GYM & an almost a Trainer......the most importaint thing is cardio at least 4 to 5 times a week and your DIET! Any more questions just email me! My trainer told me lifting weights burns more calories than cardio and forget the aerobic classes for cardio...I am not cordinated enough lol |

I need to lose at least 20 pounds before December 22nd. I got a gym membership yesterday. What is the fastest way to lose weight? What works for me. 1. Determine to increase your metabolism without doing anything drastic. Walk a bit faster. Hustle a little more at common things. And it doesn't have to be all day long...just during regular work hours. It works, because I lost 20 lbs in the first couple months that I decided to UP my metabolism. 2. Switch diets. Get nasty. Eat beef/bean burrito and salads and stuff that has no fat and almost no sugar. Your body will feed on stored fat when it needs to keep up with your higher exertion rate. (Now, I'm down 30 lbs, and have been maintaining at this level for 6 months. It's all in the diet and the exertion. I DO NOT DIET after achieving stasis. That's what keeps me from losing more weight. I eat junk food and fast food every day. This weekend, I'm living on chips and lots of pizza and soda pop. No worries. My metabolism is eating this stuff up.) Good luck! |

Diet is the key, not only what you eat but also when. Exercise is a must, not just to lose weight but to stay in good cardio vascular shape as well. Walking briskley, riding a bike are both excellent. Just don't do anything extreme without consulting a good physician. If you are to limit your food very much, a vitamin supplement is a good idea! Good luck, don't get in a hurry!

IF all your going to do for cardio is pretend light jog on the treadmill for 15 minutes every other day or just on the eliptical with the same thing.... you really arent doing everything.
You basically have 70 days roughly to lose 20 pounds. A pound every 3 days or so. Diet is extremely important. Even cutting portions down will help instead of starving yourself of the foods you really like to eat. I'd hit the weights, maybe walk everyday around the track for a couple miles and watch your diet... I bet you can do it. |

I did a modified fast once a few years ago to jump start me. I'd gained a good bit of weight taking care of my husband. It's called Medifast. I lost 25 lbs in 5 weeks. It is for the most part, protein shakes. I would have a small salad maybe a couple of times a week. Also I walked at a track, couple of miles a day.

Also wanted to add, be careful if you choose this plan about the weight lifting. You might not be taking in enough calories to lift.

Another way to lose weight quickly would be to do a lot of swimming- swimming uses all the muscles in your body, which will not only give you a total-body workout, but it'll also make your body consume more fat, as all your muscles will be drawing on your fat reserves.
Even better is the fact you'll end up with a long, lean body from the swimming too from your body stretching in the water. Of course, this is all dependent on whether or not you have a pool in your home. No kiddie wading pools, either- those won't cut it. |
