Is it a "no no" to post professional photos online?

What does the photographer say, they actually belong to him/her.... You need a release in most cases depending on the photographer.

Post them all you want as long as they are you.

or...if you are the photographer and you have photographed someone else, you need a release from them to do so

I knew that about making copies of photos, but even the copies they give you on CD's?

It doesn't matter, because it was a family member and they are not going to care. I just wondered if people are skittish of professionally posed pics or not.

Professional pictures, 99% of the time, translate to FAKE. To the viewer.

FYI

Maybe just me...it's the only pic I actually like, so I wanted to use it.

I never understood why you have to afraid of reproducing something you paid for and are not reselling.

Sounds like the stuff scams are made out of.

Fran, Cowboy Cop looked at my profile here and said your pic (he saw you on my friends list) made it look as though you had lovely breasts... I think he said big or large or well, you know.

I think most websites as long as you own the rights or it is copyright free image don't care.
I personally on another website have seen the whole gambit of pictures some people using their passport pictures to driver's license.
A glam shot if that is the only one of someone I also tend to shy a way from since I am thinking does he always look like that if so God help me he is not the one for me.
I figured when I posted mine I would just show me kind of like what you see is what you get.
I am still trying to find the rules on posting the avatar's that I see here. I would love to make one up and use it.
