I know a lot of people don't really give this thread much attention, but thanks for keeping it going Rapunzel :) Awwwww...that is so very observant & so sensitive of you thank you soo very much Sweetheart Ron1218 God has given me such a heart for Our Troops and someone has to step up to the plate and maybe others will follow suit sometimes, many times i get upset cause it seems that so many people get so hung up on so many trivial things that don't amount to anything of real value or worth ... but i must do my best to have love and compassion for them cause until their eyes are truly opened, they are only really hurting themselves and unfortunately those around them too by not grasping the true gems in life that are of real value & true importance |

I know a lot of people don't really give this thread much attention, but thanks for keeping it going Rapunzel :) I would like to take this time to honor and salute Air Force Man Ron 1218 He is a very courteous, honorable respectful man I don't know much about his Military History this is what his profile says ... "I'm active duty USAF and have been in for 4 years so I do tend to do a bit of traveling. I've been all over the US and my next stop is a year in South Korea. So, you never know where I might end up. " Bravo for You Three Cheers for you |

Rapunzel, awesome thread. Every American should follow you're lead and thank our soilders. Without them we would not be free to voice our opinions on the war, against it or not. They deserve the respect of every American for protecting our freedom. Their sacrifice is taken for granted by so many,,,this thread was over due. oh , i feel so bad, cause my Good Buddy Mark Purpose built has deactivated ... but I have his phone number & i will call him and we still have the powerful message he left which can serve as a legacy for all of our Troops |

I as a combat veteran with 4 tours overseas want to say THANK YOU for your kind words and support. If I was to be granted one wish it is that all my brothers and sisters in Uniform are all home by next christmas............. Thanks Oh My Dear Blue eyed Man .. ..Thank you sooo much What a Blessing and Honor for You to grace this Salute to our Military thread as you have... and your second post no less.. ..I am soo flattered I have to say that i have such a heart for our Troops & i have hostessed many Soldier threads in the past year and a half on this site since i became well acquainted with my dear buddy Brigade He is an awesome Army Soldier and Marine who is in his 7th or 8th time in combat We spoke on the phone & in IM talking for hours in his Mountain home & in his barracks in Fort Sills before & after he was deployed again last summer and even up until now while he is overseas again with only one leave that was ended way too soon when he had to go to Fort Bragg ~ North Carolina before deploying again... but before he left the first time i met him He left me a testimony that is in my profile and also on the last page of my testimonials which means the entire world and more to me I know that it is his choice , as it is also yours , yet someone has to step up high to the Plate & i am so thankful that you all have although it doesn't make much easier for those of us who really care & i have other Good Friends who are just so Noble too... sometimes i think of simply deactivating and just not giving these threads my time & energy because there is so much widespread apathy among civilians but a Man i know personally who lives here in town who retired from the Air Force two years ago told me to not give up & to keep on keeping on and he said that it means so much to Our Troops to see that someone back home leaves the light on for them so , this is why i am here and hopefully my diligence will encourage others to find a place in their hearts for our Troops to pray for You All during the course of our days & our nights without ceasing now and also when you all return home as you cope with all that you have experienced in the brutal unfair realm of combat & war... |

Me Too! Thanks! Hi there Dutchman thank you for stopping by ... My computer was just upgraded to Windows XP Pro and for some reason the past day or so .. it is running slower than molasses in Alaska in the coldest part of winter before global warming |

this is beautiful & so sad too
Rifle raised, poised and ready, Soldier advances slowly walking. In the open of a littered Muslim street, Mission duty, yet stay alive. Remnants of a market stand, Citizens secluded behind closed doors. Soldier’s eyes cover every door, Scanning every window, nook and alley. Movement to the left, one door opens, Rifle swings to that direction. A little boy runs into the street, Cheerfully jabbers in native tongue. Up to the Soldier runs the lad, admiration or harboring bomb? Innocence can kill a man; Little boy holds out both hands. Kneeling down still watching roofs, Soldier pulls out a candy bar |

an email came my way...this is how it goes
HOORAY, HOORAY, HOORAY for Paul Harvey. I myself have been grumbling and wondering how a handful of people that have come to our country to get their freedom and have some rights, have been able to take our right to pray in public places away from us. So, agreeing with Paul, I GLADLY will forward this email AGAIN, AGAIN AND AGAIN. Folks, this is the Month that we RE-TAKE AMERICA ********* Get Ready ********* Keep this going around the globe ... Read it and forward every time you receive it. We can't give up on this issue. Paul Harvey and Prayer Paul Harvey says: This is the United States of America, a country founded on Christian principles. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations. Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying. God, help us. And if that last sentence offends you, well, just sue me. The silent majority has bee n silent too long. It's time we tell that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard that the vast majority doesn't care what they want. It is time that the majority rules! It's time we tell them, You don't have to pray; you don't have to say the Pledge of Allegiance; you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right; but by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away. We are fighting back, and we WILL WIN! God bless us one and all ... Especially those who worship Him , God bless America, despite all her faults. She is still the greatest nation of all. God bless our military who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God. Let's make 2008 the year the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions .. And our military forces come home from all the wars. Keep looking up. If you agree with this, please pass it on. |
