 so, I will try to righteously articulate
for I need to express my thankfulness
 This thread is Dedicated
 To All of our Men & Women
who are or were in active Military
Those entering basic training,
those who are graduating
& Those getting ready to deploy ~
 Those who have made it home...
We will always keep the Light on
 & Save a warm place for You All ~ right here
 With open loving arms, hearts & open doors
& We respect & admire each & every one of you
& To Those deployed, we await your safe return home to us
Cheers To all the Awesome Men & Women
I've had the privilege of meeting here
and Cheers To Those I haven't ...
those Brave Men and Women who serve our Country
& Who keep Our Lands Safe & Free
I Salute you ~ Wholeheartedly

I just had a friend deploy to Iraq- will be gone a year maybe 2
and my sisters husband is going in 3 weeks!! My Love, thoughts and prayers for them all

That we just Cannot give our Military enough justice
 & with so many people in the world so engrossed & going off,
 on so many sick, silly trivial pursuits of interest,
Those of Us who really do care,
Need to be Ever ~ diligent
& in constant Prayer for our Troops...
For of all the Gifts we can give our Troops
 who daily protect our very spoiled, wimpy selves
 From absolute & sudden destruction
Is the gift of Sincere & Loving Prayer
For All of Those Brave Men & Women
who daily & nightly put themselves
in the very midst of harm's way
to protect us from the enemy

God Bless those that protect us,as if it wasn't for them we couldn't feel safe in our own homes.

Rapunzel, awesome thread. Every American should follow you're lead and thank our soilders. Without them we would not be free to voice our opinions on the war, against it or not. They deserve the respect of every American for protecting our freedom. Their sacrifice is taken for granted by so many,,,this thread was over due.

I better not get started too much 
with my honest opinion regarding my observations
the very obvious widespread lack of respect 
& lack of outward appreciation for our Troops
I've noticed it here, for quite some time
it is appalling

and His Brother Louis Joseph,
whom I never got to meet...
Uncle Louie Who paid the ultimate price
along with many thousands of worthy Seamen
Merchant Marines
who were carrying supplies for the war
and who had all convoyed
in at least 18 ships overseas
only to be bombed by enemy attack
when they thought they were in safe waters...
