2012, if we survive it, (and I think we will) takes the sun and our solar system across the galactic equator of the Milky Way Galaxy to continue its journey on the lighter side where the stars in our heaven will look different and time (as we now know it) may change or cease to exist. The sun will reach this equator at 11:11 a.m. world time on December 21, 2012. On the flip side, one solar flare at this time could burn us to a crisp.
