I think that both academic related and life related intelligence are just as important. Just because I went through five years of college doesn't make me any more intelligent than someone who merely graduated high school. I don't place one standard of education above another.

Its nice to know u feel like that, cos i feel i am not academically inclined, but i feel i have a good understanding of life and ppl.

I dont have much qualifications, my mum n dad split up when i was at high school, and i just lost the motivation to want better for myself. I returned to education as an adult, refreshing my core skills and i have worked in a college for the last 3yrs. I dont have any degrees, and i often feel inferior to ppl who have gained qualifications, but i dont want to feel like that cos i feel i offer summit valuable to our world too! im just not academically intelligent!

Sorry might be slightly off topic but if you want to define intelligence you have it.
Pink from what I have read of your posts I am of the opinion you should not feel inferior to anyone. You strike me as a good person. Actually you express yourself pretty well. Not only making clear statements but supporting them. Is your spelling and Capitalization relaxed? Sure; so what; that is what Spell Check is for and this is a forum not advanced English Composition. You hang in there and you will do fine in the long run.

Aw, thank you very much for the kind words, they are much apreciated. flowerforyou

I must add at this point, the way i write on here is a chosen style lol! My English is actually one of my stronger subjects! I'm just lazy and choose to write in shortcut language!

I use phonetics in my learning methods at work, so i hope im ok lol!!

I am so dumb...but I rock in the sac.:wink:

Ha!! And that means you are pure brillance, Cassanova. Knowledge and skill of pleasuring the carnal woman is like a masters and a graduate degree and vocational training and a apprenticeship and the school of hard knocks all rolled up into one. Who needs more than that? I'll take two....

You read so much into a simple sentence....you is smart and purdy!bigsmile laugh laugh

Farks!!! You were supposed to say but there is only one of me.... (as I said I'll take two).

And I would say, oh that's right, no cloning as you republicans don't believe in stem cell research...

I got it all planned out. Well, had it.

Pink, I gotta admit I'm not feeling all that smart in this. I thought I knew Goof better... but at least he sees I'm smart and purdy.... yee haw!

You know what happens when you "assume" something right?

Now we are going into the whole I am a "Republican" you are a "Democrat" discussion eh? Goody.!

I could say the things you "thought" I was gonna say, but instead I will say.......

"One of me is enough, as two of me would kill you." Now, you would say, "Oh Goof. Us Democratic women can handle two of anything...of any size. I will clone you. Even though you don't believe in it cause you are a Republican."

Now, I come back with, "Bend over and take it up the butt...cause us Republicans have been doing that to you Democrats for eight years now."

...This could go on and on......

Anyways....Intelligence is awesome!

Snarkly malarky.... republicans, the few I've bedded, have been quite talented.

I totally agree with the why of that.

Pink, you think political affiliation is in any way relaetd to intelligence? Or just sexual prowess?

well i found this...!

Political affiliation could be all in the brain

* 18:00 09 September 2007
* NewScientist.com news service
* Roxanne Khamsi

A brain scan might one day predict your voting patterns. That is the implication of a study that found different brain activity among liberals and conservatives asked to carry out a simple button-pushing test. The study implies that our political diversity may be the result of neurological differences.

I have stated on many occassions that intelligence is attractive to me. I don't want a "dumb" woman, nor do I want a "know it all" woman. When I talk sports, if she has no idea what I am talking about (Like, when I try to explain why teams punt the football when it is fourth and one) then I don't want her shaking her head "yeah" acting like she does. She likes me enough, she will say "I don't understand" to which you simply break it down and educate her. Don't treat her like some dumb chick. Tell what the hell is going on in the game.

The reverse is true to. I want learn what she knows, so I don't act like I know it all. If I don't, I will say "I have no clue, so tell me about it." It could be styling tips, or maybe she is a Nurse and can explain some medical terminology to me.

To sum this up....chicks who wear glasses make me melt.blushing laugh

I dont think intelligence is about how much you know, that would be knowledge, which is different. A relatively less intelligent person can study hard to gain a greater knowledge than somebody more naturally talented at retaining information. I say intelligence is measured by how easily you understand things and the speed in which you can process information. Retaining information long term is different from intelligence as well, that would be memory. But then memory, knowledge and your brains processing power are ALL key factors in how intelligent a person appears.

Smarts is the way to my heart, it is foreplay to me. Knowledge and a passion of sharing that knowledge.... gosh it gets me everytime. A tall, smart man with great lips... Just ask Lexy, he shakes my knees together at times. :tongue:

I'm 5'10" and THAT'S the truth -- !!

But, yeah, intelligence is a must for me to be interested in someone. And that doesn't necessarily mean a college degree -- because a college degree just means you were able to fit yourself inside other people's rating systems well enough to get a piece of paper.
