Why Obama and Biden Dredz?

Well McCain isnt the guy i knew a few years ago. He has back-pedaled on some things i feel are important such as not lowing takes during war. He has also sung songs about bombing Iran. I dont think a president should be making jokes about bombing other countries. Also he has said many times from his own mouth that he dosent understand the economy

I believe Obama has the temperament to be President and the knowledge to not sing about bombing people. he also has a better grasp on economics and i believe he gives America a new chance to show the world America is better than it has been for the last 8 years

Dredz, I'm impressed but do you think that all the McCain has done in the past should be negated b/c he backpeddled? they all do at one point or another in every election. It's about being elected... Obama is not the same person in the election that he was in the senate... Not knocking your choice but putting it out there b/c of clarification of people and politics....

I understand your point. there is always going to be some shifting of positions. i wouldnt want someone who stayed firm on everything no matter what. what if they are wrong right? So i concede that. However, it matters what they shift on. How that is judged is by what you value, so if shifting on taxes is no big deal to you then thats ok. However what if he shifted on something you did care about and suddenly you have conflicting values on the topic? Some of his shifts have been in positions i dont like.

Also i think the other points i laid out aid in my decision not just the shifts.

Obama on the other hand seems to make adjustments things that dont matter much to me and he does it in order to get the greater good done. Like when he adjusted on the FISA bill earlier this year. It had stuff he didnt like but he took it because it included things he fought for.

Obama is a liar and a crook. He's in bed with tony rezko the federally indicted crook. He's a junior senator that has drafted zero bills, passed zero bills, and is involved with shady chicago politics. Joe biden is got the IQ of my shoe. He owns all the companies that do federal background checks for businesses. Tell me there's not a conflict of interest there. That's illegal. Hello. Wake up. Better off electing the crack dealer down the street. He's more trustworthy.

OK really this forum wasnt meant for this silly name calling. it was just to remind you to vote. I hope you do vote. It is your duty as an American

I don't disagree with you completely.. but what about not being there for serious votes but being there to vote when the election is on or not so serious agendas? What about standing for what you believe in and not vering from that due to "popular" vote... What is it that McCain changed that you don't agree with? some things are personal and some things are for the better of the good of the population and SOME THINGS are just to get elected...

And yes I'm registered to vote...

If i am understanding you, you're saying Obama wasnt there for vote you deemed important? I beleieve has voted fairly regularly although since he has been campaigning he has missed some votes but he always seems to vote on the big issues such as FISA. Obama also voted for the new GI Bill, something very important to me. McCain did not show up to vote or speak about the issue. I would expect more of a veteran. Furthermore, if i am not mistaken McCain has missed the more days in congress than anyone else in the last two years.

As for not veering due to popular vote... the process of government is ruled by popular vote. Compromise is needed to function. The system is built on that.

As for what specifically McCain has changed that i dont agree with... dont really want to go into it because it opens a can of worms. I know thats not a great answer but i think i am making my other points clear

The important issue that your not discussing is Sarah Palin.

Which will be the name of the president of the united states if McCain wins, since he will inevitably leave office due to health issues.

Do you really think she can offer anything besides the fact that she wants women who are raped by their fathers to keep the baby? Also killing moose?? Seriously who kills moose?
