Is Halloween like a Holiday too? if it is make it go away. First Halloween without my granddaughter. Her and I went out around this neighborhood every year since she was 2. She just turned 10

Christmas...saddest time of the year for me.  I'd like to go to sleep around the 15th of December and not wake up till January 2nd.
I know that feeling. Thanksgiving is not great either. I don't have any family here so I just sit here by myself and hug my dogs. |

I'm not doing Halloween this year but I did take a treat over to my niece and nephew.

They did move away but it's not that far. They've decided even though it's my weekend with her that she's staying there for Halloween. I'm already wondering if I'll even get to see her at Christmas now. |

My granddaughter's dad,it's like he's punishing me for what my daughter is doing. Feels like that to me.

JMO! I find that an extended family that i have in my own life. is as good as any biological
Family anyone could have. i meet these wonderfull. People through friends and just in my travel's. I collect people and i know how to treat them. With resepct! enjoy those holidays with anyone you love or care about visa/versa,or look me up. during those holidays someone created If you need a listing ear or a good story we'll be laughing in no time hang in there men folks to. my son is in AZ and my daughter is only an hour away and yet i don't see her more than a few times a year. fortunately my parents and brother, niece and nephew live close. i get to see them frequently. since i don't get to see my kids i guess i've started indulging my niece and nephew.

My daughter is in Philly....got to see her this past April when she drove out here. Have a brother in Chicago but I see him maybe 2x's a year. This year I am so busy working the holidays it may not even bother me.
Although, I do like KoolAides philosophy of collecting people. |

I know it hurts to be lonely especially around the holidays but the really sad thing is...
. look at all the people out there that have lost their homes and just about everything they have due to this rocky economy. . Look at some of the people that are in relationships that are still lonely. . Look at all the homeless..and some of them freeze to death in winter . Maybe we don't have it so bad after all. We do have each other and there are many good people on this site. I am meeting friends on here and it really means a lot. . . Soooo...lets make the holidays special this year and all help each other get through the tough times together. Regardless whether we cry or laugh together we will have our friends here to get us through. . Sooo.to all you special people out there....

I think I am going to check with my local Human resources department and see if there is a family that needs a little help this year and do what I can to help them especialy if they have small children
|

Yeah we do have each other and a good place to vent.:) Well my roommate moved out on me the day before the rent was due. Yesterday while I was at work. Life, always something. But my other roommate who just moved in the month before is a sweetheart she will help me out some. Even though neither of us was expecting to be stuck with her share. So glad she moved in or I would really be stuck.
I'm glad you still have someone there to help you foot the rent Carol. Maybe you will find another person to move in and help.I know it will be tougher right now so hang in there friend..

Came home & my renter had moved out, just left the key on the kitchen table. |
