I have met the greatest people on these forums. I have learned others points of view and even learn a few things along the way.

I have been able to make friends all over the world, read poetry from very talented people, express opinions and receive opinions when needed.

These forums are wonderful, yes there are times when comments are made that I do not agree with but for the most part, this is a social site and a great place to be.

the threads here have done many things for me.
i have met many friends.. created new families.. and i found my love..

the social interaction helps you to see what kind of a person you are dealing with.. granted people can lie even to themselves, but if you pay close enough attention.. you will be able to tell who someone really is in places suck as these...

feel that forums like these are very bennifical.. and not a waste of time... tho it does take up a lot of time..

laughter, tears, it bridges the gap of distance for people who share intrests and personalities.

They are just an outlet for people to exchange ideas, thoughts, rants and raves, be silly and talk to lots of different people at the same time

They are fun and isn't that the whole point of being here?

It's up to each person to decide if they're a waste of time or not. If you think they're a waste of time, why would you still post?

Most of them are, but every once in a while you can learn something.

I've been here nearly two years.

I enjoy the forums -- reading what people have to say, following my favorites around from thread to thread, getting to know new things about people here.

I think it has helped me with my writing, too.

This site gives me an outlet and an audience I would not otherwise enjoy.

This site has the best people of any of the sites I have ever tried.

"Waste of time"? Not in my mind.

Granted, I realize I will never meet "the one" here -- that's obvious. But there is more to life than meeting "the one."

Forums r great for hearing other viewpoints other than ur own. We r not all know-it-alls, and we all have much to learn about life/people/society/relationships and pretty much everything else!

They also open up opportunities to meet like-minded ppl and new friends....it also gives us the opportunities to gain insight into other cultures.

I cant actually think of anything negative about using a forum?

so the title made u curious? but then u also had the urge to share ur opinion, thats wat forums r for, so maybe u like it more than u acknowledge?

I think it is up to each person what they take away from them. Some are just in fun some make no sense at all then there are those that not only make sense but has a valid point to them.

It all depends on the responses that are given and the subject in hand.
