Does anyone else have this problem? Having a sibling of the same sex that is better looking than you are? Growing up I was the cool one, I was the one who got girls but my brother cleared up his acne, started tanning and learned how to dress and now I constantly have to put up with girls telling me how cute MY BROTHER IS! First off ladies, here is a tip: If you think a guys brother is cute as hell, don't tell the guy! Second, I constantly have to guard any woman that I am interested in from him because he WILL make a move just to pump up his own self-esteem and more than once I've found out that he landed a woman that I was interested in. Once, I took him to a club with me where I was meeting this girl from one of my classes. She was hot and I was thinking she liked me too so at the club I asked her out and she said no, that she had a boyfriend or something. Yeah right, next thing I know she and my little brother are all over each other swapping spit and grinding on the dance floor! Then the next time I went to class she let everyone know how hot Dave's BROTHER IS. This is where I'm taking it out because I don't want my family to know just how bad it hurts being considered less handsome than my less intelligent street smart and experienced; less masculine younger brother. Tell me I'm not alone here..

First, I have no clue what your younger brother looks like, but you're a very nice looking guy. Maybe you should quit hanging out with him so much and go out on your own? And yes, I know what it's like to have a sibling better looking, I'm the oldest of 4 and the other three were much better looking (I got the brains) . Put some distance between you & your brother. Find someone else to go out with. JMO

I will say this....I'm glad I have a sister.... I'm REALLY sorry this happens to you... Have you told your brother how this makes you feel??? If you haven't, I suggest you do this and let him know to stay out of your way or he'll really piss you off!! Don't let him pull the "oh you're just jealous" crap out on you... Don't let him get in the way of what you want.... Remember, it's not how you look....it's how you treat the lady.... And, remember this....you're little brother will learn the hard way in the future.....looks don't last forever.....

I agree...if you are dating someone who is all into your brother instead of you...she isn't worth it. In the mean time, work on your own insecurities, build up your self confidence. You are a very nice looking young man.

If you are looking who can land the most women or the best women then you need not bring them around him because he'll probally win.

If you are looking for a woman to care about & care about you... then you shall find her someday regardless of your brother ...as long as your not treating her as a piece of meat.

My sister was taller than me. More athletic. Smaller boobs. Plainer figure.

I was short, but had an hour class figure, great boobs, great legs, even if I was short.

But I was constantly told my sister was the sexy one, I was cute and cuddly. And guys went after my sister, not me.

I was a High School Junior. The Junior and Senior guys were going after my MIDDLE SCHOOL aged sister.

That was just sick and wrong......... Everyone thought she was the older one, just because she was taller.

My brother is better looking than me to an extent but what's really cool is that he does not discriminate. If I were to tell him hey I want her he will be like, cool go ahead and if she still wanted him he will try everything to have the attention back to me.

My brother and I are great friends. We protect eachother.

lol, yeah everyone thinks my younger brother is my older brother too. I'm 29 and I get told I look no more than 23-24. My bro is 26.

Thank you for the compliment and I know that I'm not ugly but he looks like an Italian soap star kind of. I will admit however that there are girls that think I'm cuter than him and I definitely look younger.

Here are your options:


A. play games with him to piss him off as much as he pisses you off (not recommended)

B. learn his strategy. Workout, dress better, i don't know what he does, but obviously he is doing something better. Build more confidence, learn how to dance, learn how to be smoother?

C. you can separate yourself from him and search for a more equal or uglier wing man. You ALWAYS look better when standing next to someone uglier and you always look worse when you are standing next to someone hotter.

Dude. I have been there. When I hang out with my brother, I am constantly listening to the little bar tramps the he is so fond of ( although I must admit, they are HOT little bar tramps ) coming up to me and saying how " cool " my little brother is.

I just stand there and do the whole " smile and nod " thing.

The GOOD thing about it is this...

If they are attracted to HIM, then I know for a fact that they aren't my type and that I shouldn't concern myself with what they think of me.
