Does speaking slower actually help if someone doesnt understand you? Actually, yes. There is a Mexican girl I work with ( very very pretty Mexican girl, by the way ) and while her English is pretty good, I sometimes have to slow down my speech speed because I occasionally talk too fast for her to keep up. It doesn't happen very often, but it does happen.
