no standard as far as recovery time and headaches goes ... could be days ... weeks or months ... |

2 or 3 days for a good bellringer. Weeks for a head thru a windshield.

Not sure, but sometimes headaches after concussion are caused from muscle spasm related to the "whiplash" nature of some injuries. So it probably depends on what is actually causing the headache. Maybe ask the doc about a light massage or warm moist heat pad to the neck muscles. Don't treat it until you ask of course!

I did go to doctors....fell down a flight of stairs,hit my head,got a laceration,concussion,neck sprain and neck strain

Awwwwww, ouch! You might need to see a physical therapist after the acute phase of this is over with, to help you get your motion back and relieve some of the pain your probably going to have from your neck sprain/strain. Did they give you a collar to wear to take some of the load off the neck muscles?

I had my headache for 24 yrs. so I had to divorce her.

know for how long headaches are suppose to last after a concussion? It could last for even 3 mths. It takes awhile for the brain to heal. Even in a minor fender bender, the brain is shaken inside of the skull. Then one will have headaches and some memory problems for at least a few days. If it is really bothering you or seems to last too long, you should talk to a neurologist. |
