I got a threatening email this morning. But, 2 pm came and went and nothing. I was pretty sure he was full of it, but it was a bit unnerving. A lot of people are tough with words but can't back it up in real life so don't sweat it. Many cowards try to use threats to intimidate people. Yeah, I think he was just trying to screw with me. Be sure to mention to him that you've passed his emails on to the cops the next time that he sends one! |

I don't think I would take someone going as far as sending me a threatening email as just a coward too insignificant to acknowledge.
I might sound all mellow and not going to bother to fight but you cross my threshold uninvited and start cr-p then this old lady don't play. But then again I have worked with the criminally insane and read their casefiles from their "early" days and most of them were percieved and little pimples until they exploded from being ignored. That isn't just a Halloween "boo" post either. Seriously if someone is going "too far" and makes you feel threatened, this goes for you guys too; don't play around with it. Maybe they are not going to be able to hurt you physically but they can sure mess with your vehicals, cause all kind of landlord drama, or even get you fired. The laws on stalking protect everyone and if you want to be taken serious the sooner you report it the better. |

Kind of a different subject but remember the other day the kid that was flashing?
It seemed to really get a rise out of lot of people. Lot of different responses. Am I just getting old and having flash backs (no pun intended but it would be a good one wouldn't it?) or is this just the new version of streaking or skinny dipping? Or is it something more serious? Would you want to have your teen daughter put in her place if she did this? What about reported to local authorities? I have the sneaking hunch this little gal was a minor and somehow got on someone older's email account. Would you want a kid visited by the police and a prank blown up into a big deal? What if it is abuse? Who steps up and looks out for a kid who might be missed by the powers that be? Is being an exhibitionist a personal freedom? I don't think anything illegal was exposed. Has anyone really had any serious fall out from this sort of prank? I have been running this over in my head. Not sure how I feel on several fronts. The maternal side seems to be winning but I don't feel like babysitting a stupid teenager. Opinions??? |
