If someone is attracted to you like crazy and wants to be your LIFETIME
MATE. WOULD IT MATTER IF THEY'RE rich or poor; reasonably employed or
broke and enemployed?

Sure money is nice,,, and makes the world go around at times alittle
eaiser,,, Yet finding the Love in someone is deep inside the soul,,, for
it is thier that the Bond between two can
survive and strive for perfection. Love and Happiness is found deep
within us... flowerforyou

Guess that all depends. If he is poor and unemployed, I would at least
expect him to be out looking for work.

Money is nice, but I don't live my life by it. I would be just as happy
if I had just enough to pay the bills, and have a bit in the bank, in
case an emergency came up.

I'm not drawn toward men with a lot of money. But neither would I
support a man. I feel a man should assume that a part of being a man is
taking care of his family and that includes being financially
responsible for them.

Having said that, I also think a woman should contribute financially,
too, if necessary. And if she makes more -- that's fine, too. But she
definitely should not just sit on her butt watching soaps and eating
bon-bons if she decides to be a SAHM or homemaker.

These days, I think more in a traditional sense insofar as certain
responsibilities go. The thing is, women these days are not only
expected to work outside the home, but are also expected to maintain the
house, take care of the kids, do the shopping, errand running, etc.

Being a homemaker is a full-time job; it's an everyday thing. I work
from my home doing editing, but I still have to do all those other
things -- AND all the traditional "man" stuff, too.

But I like the freedom I have of being my own boss. If I was in a
relationship, I'd gladly play the more "traditional" role, while earning
some money and contributing that, as well, but I'd prefer to not have to
worry excessively about whether or not the bills are being paid. I think
that would surprise a lot of people who know me, being a die-hard
"feminist" and all, but I'd just prefer to worry about -- and take care
of -- other issues.

Well said, Jean. I guess I should have elaborated on my answer more.

Money isn't everything, a real relationship can work around it. The
trick is to live within your means. I have been on both sides of the
fence, and I have been in the same line of work for thirty yrs, so I
make fair money.but have never forgot where I started out at.

Money isn't every thing but the divorce usually pays well. LOLlaugh
Sorry I would have to pick poor cause you never know if the money will
run out. Then you could be left with a poor @-- hole.

Material possessions aren't what's important...but money quickly becomes
important when there's no food on the table, no electricity, no water
and -- GOD FORBID -- no high-speed Internet connection!noway

We're both poor, but there are other things to do that don't cost
anything. And I'm looking for another Job at least. We still love each
other for who we are it isn't what we have..

Money is not everything but we must all admit we are not gonna support
someone else just to have a relantionship. I mean there is no reason
they could not work and help out with the bills. If they can not work
then they should be getting some kind of help disablity or SS or
something. They don't have to have a lot of money that is not what I'm
looking for but should have means to at least support themselves.
Material things are just that material things they are pretty to look at
but they can't hold ya at night or be there when you need someone.
Besides if you really shop around you can find nice things for alot less
than some pay for them. So no it would not bother me how much money they
made just how careless they were with what they did make or not work at
all.bigsmile
