Topic: Am I too sensitive | |
---|---|
I just came from a football game with my daughter, and my boyfriend. They were both joking with me cause I dont' know alot about football but am trying to learn, and have been for awile.. well my "boyfriend" was mouthing off and was joking with this lady who was sitting close to us, he said "she (meaning me) doesn't know anything about football, then he added, actually she doesn't know anything about anything." I immediately lost it..told him the relationship was over and that was that....when we came home from the game, I sent him on his way...and I meant it...am I being too harsh? or should I let it go? I think it was callous and inconsiderate and shows what he is made of...need you know your opinions...pls.

i think it was the wrong thing to say, defiantely. not sure that i would have went that far as you did, but i certainly would have told him how it made me feel and not tolerate it!!! a bit uncalled for and disrespectful for anyone to do that to someone they care about.

Actually Mayhem, we were getting along fine..I actually do like him..alot..but now, not so sure...you know relationships are hard at first..and I can not say I don't like him, I really do...and it has nothing to do with his money..he was funny and fun to be with...but as you can see. he goes over the top... |

i think the comment about the football was o.k but the other comment was nothing less than mean and rude ..how you handle it is up to you ....i think tho sometimes we react on the spur of the moment and we get mad rather than convey how much our feelings are hurt instead ..i think that would make for a better foundation to arelationship...jmo..we're all guilty of this at one time or another ..
