Yep, what she says get the feeling that your standards may be too high, but you refuse to lower, or even compromise with your standards? I will compromise, but not lower,nope won't do it.

I usually have a problem with the words that start with STANDARD TOO HIGH to me that just implies that you are just scared to commit or date because you have been hurt................what is standards anyways........and if that is the case then if you are single then you have to realize that the other side of that is that you dont obviously meet someone elses standards and that is why you are SINGLE..................JMO What if I said not to lie, steal, or cheat was my standards. Is that asking for too much?

"Standards too high?" For what? I know I'm just an ordinary person and most others are too...if I meet someone I mesh with that's the exact right standard! To think I'm "better" would be kinda self-absorbed & full of myself, IMO. I think it's just about finding the right person!

No but when you uphold that to someone else you have better trully doing the same.............we are all human and the good thing about that is that we can make mistakes and sometimes those mistakes can be forgiven............but dont we all hope for the samething..........i dont think anyone wants a partner who lies,steals, or cheats but sh!t happens and thats called LIFE............

My standards basically eliminate over 100% of all the females in the world anyway, but I was never very good at math. Thing is, when I was younger and tended to let my standards fluctuate a little, I wound up with people like my ex-wife. Valuable lesson but extremely unpleasant to live through.... I always say I'd rather be alone than be with the wrong person. And then I say "Ceterum censeo Cartaginem esse delendam" but nobody gets that part.
