Feel that way about a good friend but I know he doesn't feel the same, so no point in causing myself heartache Isn't it heartache anyway if you feel that you can't tell him?? yes it's awful, but at least I get to keep him as a friend. |

Meh. If he really is a friend, then knowing how you feel wouldn't stop that. May be awkward for a bit, but life would go on and he would still be a friend. Either you tell him and you find out that he isn't averse to the idea, or you tell him and he is. If it's the former, then you wind up coming out WAY ahead. If it's the latter, then you may ( possibly, maybe ) lose him as a friend, but you can move on with things and let the next guy you date actually have a fair shake. I know this may sound harsh, and I really don't mean to be, but you know that being hung up on that guy is completely unfair to any guy you might date because I am pretty sure you don't tell them about your hangup before you start dating them. Just a guess, but I would be willing to bet money on you not telling them. From a guy's perspective, that kinda falls into the " games " category that everyone claims to be so sick of. |

Peace and love Ummm...if you are " pretty sure " that they know...then why not just follow through? See, this is what really irks me. Some people spend their entire LIVES looking for someone to truly, deeply love. Some have it right in front of them, but yet, do nothing about it. Do people not realize how utterly special it is to have someone to love? Let me ask you something. If you were to tell that person and " make a fool of " yourself...would it be the FIRST time in your life that you did something that made you feel foolish? If the answer to that question is " no ", then where is the harm in telling? Not only wouldn't it be the first time you felt foolish, but unless you die tomorrow, it most likely wouldn't be the LAST time either. |
