Do you think your mate's secret spending or sudden purchace revelations,
is an act that causes separation?

Depends on how tight the money is, the level of involvement with the
person and what the purchase is.

Married or just living together, barely making the bills and something
thats not needed and expensive probably will have an impact. Although
everyone needs to be treated or needs to treat themselves occasionally.
If not that can lead to problems as well.

Depends on how much secret spending shes doing, but YES it would
definitely raise some red flags in my mind!

there should be no secrets. what the money was spent on could be a total
lean to either direction, if she is buying you something and don't want
you to know about it, that's awesome but if it's buying stuff for
another man/men then hell I hope you don't need to ask.

yes it can lead to that...cuz then follows lack of trust...no
communication leadin to no understandin...so on and so forth....

Humm well if you both trust each other unless it is for a gift you
should already know were the money goes and your partner would never
overspend what they know ya can not afford and would be for the things
that are needed.bigsmile

I think it would cause big problems if they can barely make ends meet.
Otherwise I think it would be ok as long as they don't get too carried
away. But it has to be their own money.

as long as he is at home depot buyin me new powertools or tickets for
the greenbay packers HECK NO!!!!drinker drinker

If that spending is done secretly I find a big problem with that. You
know i see so many say "MY MONEY...THEIR MONEY". Whatever happened to
OUR MONEY???? Maybe its just me but marriage is meant to me to mean that
you build a life TOGETHER instead of sneakin around. Just my honest
opinion ya'll!!flowerforyou

the only time i really cared...was when i handed him six hundred bucks
that he was supposed to deposit in my account to cover the
rent-check...and he then used it to buy beer and pizza for all his
buddies.

wouldn't have been QUITE so bad...but he lied and said he deposited the
money...because he planned on covering the deposit with his own check.
needless to say, he didn't, and my check went bouncy.
