I've been back home for almost 8 years now after moving to another State, lived in town for 35 years...
Wish I'd come back sooner.. |

I'd always lived in big cities, and when my Dad passed away when I was 14, we moved from Denver to the largest city in SD, pop. maybe 180,000? I felt like I was living in the sticks! But as time goes by, I could easily see myself living in a cabin in the mountains, or a quaint little town somewhere. Guess I'm the only one that can make that happen, right?

Almost Sodom, Massachusetts
Fruits get hitched there Says state Supreme Court writs! Life is gay there Or queer if you please The nasty act of buggery as common as pine trees… Country road, take me away To some place, marriage isn’t “gay” Not Massachusetts, that queer abode Take me away, down a country road. All my memories gather ’round her Minutemen at Concord, Tea dumped into water. Dark and dirty, urged by Barney Frank Nasty work of liberals and that sleazy skank. Country road, take me away To some place, marriage isn’t “gay” Not Massachusetts, that queer abode Take me away, country road. I hear their voice In the bath-houses callin’ me Prime Time toob reminds me of those pervs far away And drivin’ down the road i get a feelin’ That i shouldn’t go back any day, any day! Country road, take me away To some place, marriage isn’t “gay” Not Massachusetts, that queer abode Take me away, country road. Country road, take me away To some place, marriage isn’t “gay” Not Massachusetts, that queer abode Take me away, country road. Take me away, country road. Take me away, country road. |

to the place I belong.... I was at my brother's bday party today and a band played this song. I came from a rural town where everyone knew everyone or of them at least. His party was in said town where he was a cop for 30 years or so. (He's 20 years older than me) I only live 30 minutes away, and I forgot what that kind of town was like. I think I miss it. I think I'll buy me a farm and marry a good 'ole country boy.... Think I can pull it off? |

I think I'll buy me a farm and marry a good 'ole country boy.... Think I can pull it off? Old country boys see it the other way around. First they marry, and then their life insurance 'buys the farm' as a final gift to their loved ones. Good luck to ya' |
