to the place I belong....
I was at my brother's bday party today and a band played this song. I came from a rural town where everyone knew everyone or of them at least. His party was in said town where he was a cop for 30 years or so. (He's 20 years older than me) I only live 30 minutes away, and I forgot what that kind of town was like. I think I miss it. I think I'll buy me a farm and marry a good 'ole country boy.... Think I can pull it off? |

When i went to Germany for Oktoberfest....they played in this in the beer tents.
Everyone...no matter where they were from....new the song and sang it at the top of their lungs. And these tents were huge....holding thousands of people. |

I was just talking to someone about a similar subject today Lily. I think sometimes returning to our roots can be a breath of fresh air. Funny how often it's the exact opposite when we're young and all we can think of is escaping it.

That's all I wanted to do, I graduated high school a year early to go to college and GET OUT of that town.... Now I'm kinda missing it...

Yeppers, i believe you can, just a few tips on the farm.. Be careful of the bull  Don't try and drive fence posts like this -->  If your man don't get up and work, use this-->  Always cook him breakfast, if he don't eat, leave it on the table for supper he will get the idea.....sooner or later.... |

Lily doesn't promenade, doesn't tow step, doesn't line dance...Lily is the girl who dances through the line dancers to piss them off.... I do ride the mechanical bull though...  and Mark- I was stuck up in a tree for over an hour once because we "taunted" the bull...You don't make that mistake twice...well, three times in your life...

I've picked up potatos by hand, harvested corn, picked and sold berries, picked apples.... I was a country girl for 17 years.... |
