I miss Belfour. my son has every Belfour card and most are signed by him...Eddie used to skate at my alma mater and showed up every summer for the hockey camps there. He was such a great guy to the kids...something I will never forget about him. I love hockey. I know many things have changed over the years...I could hardly believe it when the Minnesota North Stars went to Dallas...and the Winnipeg Jets turned in the Avalanche...and then Florida and every other Southern state started a hockey team...*sighs* Yet, I still love hockey!! I have been a fan of the Penguins and the Wings for a long long time!! One of the sites I used to be on had its very own NHL player!! I wonder if he ever did get the birthday present I sent to him at the organizations home office... |

Yeah hockey's gotten different with the new rules after the strike ended. Most of them are for the better. I think - much more active games |

Yeah I kinda stopped following it when Marty McSorley got screwed by the NHL. Mc Sorley hit a guy in the head with his stick, on purpose. There is no reasoning that would even remotely suggest that he got screwed by the NHL on that deal. He got what he deserved. JMO Oh no doubt that was a crappy move and was justly suspended for the rest of the season, but I was referring to the fact that they then extended his suspension and they blocked him from even playing in Europe. That followed by the lockout killed off my remaining interest at the time. I must admit that the lockout very nearly made me stop paying any attention to the game. Even today...I rarely pay attention to anyone other than the Wings, whereas before the lockout, I was very much into knowing as much as I could about most of the teams. |
