And I highly mean that. The following post may not exactly agree with your beliefs but I urge you to keep an open mind and hear me out. I'm not here to preach or convert, just discuss. If you feel that this page is a bit extreme, please leave, please don't slam what I have to say.

-Satanism-

It's a bit of a touch subject but I try to get the information out because when so many people hate me for what I believe in...it's frustrating.

First of all.. Satanism isn't about sacrificing animals, people, or anything of that nature. Satanism focuses on individualism and avoiding herd conformity. It's not about complete anger and hatred and being mean to everyone and everything. I understand that the name itself is something not many talk about, only because they believe that the name itself invokes the worship of a Satan or a Devil. While in some cases this is true, there are many paths of Satanism that believe that "Satan" is just an expression of your inner personality and carnal desires. Satanism is about our natural human instincts in which a lot of religions try to shun us away from. It's about indulgence instead of abstinence.

I myself am a Satanist and I bear no shame in sharing with you. I hope that what little I have said will not affect how you see me as a person.

Welcome.
You are the first I have read about, and it interests me enough to read more.

Makes a change from the bleeding heart god-squad we normally get on here.
Thank you

Really Belushi? I haven't seen many Christians at all on this thread lately. They don't seem to be participating much anymore. I think the agnostics, atheists, wiccans, panthists, pagans and satanists are keeping them in their corner. It has become rather droll and boring without them I might add. sad2

I think not....just nothing worth talking about imo samo samo.....

So true!

Seriously tho, to be a follower of a religion you kind of need a god . . . . . If you dont believe in Satan, then how can you be a satanist?

Sounds like you found some philosophical principles that speak to you . . . .

Ok.

Well, if you're a Christian don't you think it's a bit dismal that God had to send his only begotten son to be nailed to a pole to pay for your rebellious disobedience of God?

I'm sure that as a religion they teach that this was a great thing. But I'm not so sure why they think that it's so great that mankind has failed his creator to such an extent that his creator had to resort to such desperate acts.

I ask you the same question I've been trying to ask everyone else but no one will answer.

If you discovered that the Bible was a total like and it's simply not true that mankind fell from grace from his creator, and that God never had to restort to sending his son to pay for mankind's blatant rebellion against him,...

Would you be happy to hear that?

Would you be thrilled to hear that the Bible isn't true?

Or would you in some way be disapointed to hear that? huh

I'd really like to know.

Are you happy that we have miserably failed our creator?

Is this a really great picture that you're pleased with?

Do you sincerely hope that it's true?

Wouldn't it be better to discover that it's all just a manmade myth?

Please explain. I would seriously like to know what you think and try to understand why you feel the way you do.

I can’t answer as a Christian, only as an ex-Christian.

I was not particularly thrilled or disappointed. It was more of a natural progression for me. There were things I didn’t understand about what I was taught regarding the biblical account. In searching for understanding, I found answers that made sense to me, but didn’t fit within the biblical framework. So there wasn’t really an emotional reaction to discovering that my old beliefs no longer worked - just the excitement of finding answers that DID work.

Well, if you're now an ex-Christian, then you were a Christian and therfore you have every right to speak as one.

I fully understand what you are saying. I felt precisely the same way. I was more pleased with finding answers that DID work that I wasn't really concerned with what I had left behind.

But now, looking back in hindsight I see that I should have popped the cork on the champagne to celebrate the fact that we haven't failed our creator after all! drinker

But you're right. Back at that time I never even truly realized how wonderful it is that the biblical picture wasn't true after all.

But now that I think about it. Isn't it great to know that we haven't failed our creator and we aren't in the dog house?

I think that's beautiful. flowerforyou

Nothing could be better!

Although I don't necessarily subscribe to the idea that I have a creator to fail, I do think that every little step towards discovering what "life, the universe and everything" is all about, is what life, the universe and everything is all about. And thus is the most exciting there is in life the universe and everything. (Did I just say that outloud?nowaylaugh)
