Neat...

So we have some people who buy the lies...shh check the facts...

She was for the bridge to no where before she was against it...she was against earmarks before she was a mayor and hired a lobbyist to secure them for her city...she is for abstinence but has a pregnant teen daughter, she sold the former (Republican) governors plane on Ebay except she didn't cause it never sold there, she gave tax money back to Alaskans (so did the Republican governor who bought the plane) she is for family values but is named as the other woman in a divorce filing?

Then we can line up some other people who vote based on who is hot...

Next in line...women who lose their minds and vote for a women just because she is a woman.

Don't buy this token woman horse****!

If you are tempted sit down and think again..

the choice of palin was an interesting political calculation on mccain's part. sadly, she IS about as qualified to lead this country as obama. and the more she is scrutinized the more this point will be made. unfortunately, she is even more conservative than mccain so she is unlikely to bring in any moderate or liberal independents.

palin's selection also showcases the dnc's (and to a lesser degree democratic voter's) inane rejection of hillary and obama's stupidity in not partnering with hillary.

yuk.

Lol, she is for abstinence, yet she has a pregnant teen daughter lmao. You know my dad is for abstinence too. You think that I really care? The girl is 17, she is going to make her own decisions.

Who cares what people "use" to stand for. Have you never changed your opinion on something? Obama use to abuse cocaine, but he doesn't anymore, so who really cares.

She's a V-Pilf alright, she's just not hot enough to vote for. Eva Braun, another book burner, was pretty hot for her day...

I just stepped in something.....wait, was that a pile of "Oh Please......."

Thirty years ago, Sarah Palin was what "in the day" feminism was all about creating. The champion of the movement, Gloria Steinem argued that a woman should be able to have both--a career (and by career she did not mean simply putting a man's food on the table at a specified nightly time) but in fact a "power" career. Empowerment was about being able to have kids and have a the career and the only that that has the almost irrelevant Ms. Steinem bothered is that this particular woman (Mrs. Palin) carries and (R) after her name.

It was Gloria and her work of yesteryear that has produced women like Sarah Palin. In fact, Gloria is right when she asserts that Palin is the wrong woman with the wrong message in that the right woman (Senator Clinton) has been cast to the side, the bitter little cheerleader for Mr. Obama.

Women like Gov. Palin drive women like Ms. Steinem crazy because Palin does not consider herself a victim of anything or anyone. That is, she has earned what she has. But she failed to pay the toll that fringe feminism instituted long ago. Palin isn't a bitter angry victim that felt like she had to fight the establishment in order to flip it the bird. She's not run by the shrill likes of Ms. Steinem and THAT is why she's the wrong woman.

Drew

I disagree. She isn't what the feminist movement is about. But NOT because she isn't bitter. Sure, there are a lot of feminists out there that are. But even more that are not.

She is a 'safe' female choice for republicans because she promotes the status quo. She is a female that got into a 'traditionally' male field but she doesn't threaten the patriarchal system. She doesn't do anything to threaten the male ego. She doesn't challenged male power over the female identity and female body in any way.

She bases her authority and experience on "motherhood". I'm tough because I had to learn how to deal with hockey mom's. I know how to run things on the local level and state level because I can run a home.

She is the type of women many women hate most. She is the type of woman who gets into a position of authority so she can support her platform of pushing other women back into the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant.

Uh huh. She wants to push other women back into the kitchen huh? Well my friend, let me ask you this. Being that she DID become a Senator in a male dominated world, and she happens to be a woman who BELIEVES in CONSERVATIVE values...this is why you say that?

I mean, I know plenty of conservative women, who are successful, career oriented ladies that do not think women are supposed to be in the kitchen. They might be against abortion, or gay rights, or whatever. But they believe that women can do good in this world.

This is just so damn funny to me. I mean, three weeks ago, none of you knew about Palin. Now she is in the limelight, and now you wanna persecute her for being (a) woman, (b) conservative and (c) A FREAKING REPUBLICAN. If she were a Democrat, all of you would be defending her and her daughter right now, and don't even say you wouldn't.

1. I didn't see anyone persecute her for being a woman. I have no problems with women in politics. Just problems with the kinda of political female that Palin's speach writers are portraying her as. And if she agrees with the people who are putting the words in her mouth, since she is going with those speaches, then I'm assuming it must be a portrayal that does reflect her beliefs.

2. Okay, that kind of ultra-conservativism does bother me. And I don't like it. I'll own that charge, but I have that right. It seems that it is okay for people to totally bash on liberals, but oh no, it is a horrible deed to say anything against the super conservative.

3. Although I'm planning to change parties before the election, I happen to be currently registered and a Republican and have been my entire voting life. I vote issues, not parties. This is the election that is finally making me willing to switch parties.

Therefore we should be able to use her speeches to gain an understanding of who and what she is about.

Now if her speeches are NOT who and what she is about, I would have an even LOWER opinion of her! For allowing herself to be a puppet, spewing forth whatever words anyone decides to put in her mouth.
