Hell on earth is an ICU waiting room
Sadness, waiting for some news
So many families in limbo
Every time the door opens
So many hopeful faces looking up
Doctor or nurse asking for a family
We all know the fear and anticipation they are feeling
We feel it too
Hoping the best for them
Wishing that they did not have to suffer like this too
Fathers pacing
Momma's hushing babies
Sisters staring off into space
Brothers fidgeting
Wives trying not to cry
Husbands looking stoic
Sons and daughters holding hands
Discarded cold coffee cups
Old news papers
Ragged magazines
Hearing the cold blue called
Hoping and praying its not yours
Stretching,pacing, wringing hands
Endless hell on earth
ICU waiting room..............

That poem hits head on what the ICU is like.

I have been there several times with my parents at different times, you
are in my prayers Poet. Take care.

i was in icu 2 yrs ago i had brain surgery for a anuyersuim i almost
died my family was so scared but i made it ernine

Very good girl your so right the way it feels there.
One of the worst places to be.

sis.. know that we all love you and that you are helping yourself and
others by sharing what you are feeling. keep expressing yourself and it
will help you get through this.
