“Looking to Find”


I look and I see.
Is this where I want to be?
Not knowing where to go.
At times I just don’t know.

Will I find my way?
At times things look so gray.
I look towards the east.
But nothing helps in the least.

I look all around.
But seems things are falling down.
At times we struggle through life.
And all we end up with is more strife.

I don’t expect life to be breezy.
Nor do I expect it to be easy.
But you would think.
We would not always be on the brink.

Just once I would like it to go smooth.
And hear those words that soothe.
Just to let me know they were there.
And someone was very near.

I walk this road alone.
As I walk into the unknown.
Why must one walk this way?
Will we always be astray?

Or one day will we find?
Another and not be left behind.
Here in the end.
Will we find that one true love & friend?
