Just think of the worst nightmare u have ever had, the worst scene from a movie, anything. multiply it by 1000 and you may just touch what it feels like to wake up to shells and gun fire, to watch a friend you have lived with die, to drag parts of fellow soliders out of mine feilds. people find it so easy to disrespect the military and say its no big deal we are over there. Think what we do is easy? or fun? your so wrong you have no idea. EVEN IF YOU DONT SUPPORT THE WAR SUPPORT THE AMERICANS WHO ARE DYING! SUPPORT THE US MILITARY!

I don't ever think I've ever seen or heard of a service person disrespected... Maybe it's the circles I run in, but no one has ever said a bad word about a military person... course if they did around me...well they'd wish they were in that war zone...

Some people dont find it that important, or think its stupid for us to be there...or just dont like the military in general. Me....i'm part of the soldiers angels...I hear about alot of stuff that goes on over there, and though i may not be able to know what its like...i have a high ammount for the men and women that are standing up or have stood up for the billioins of people they dont know, the few that they do, and a country that gives everyone its freedoms...Thank you for what you have done. i'll agree with that one...just about my whole family is military...and quite a few of my friends. i cant stand a person that cant respect those heroes for everything they do for us...

Unfortunately the US Military is just another job that people sign up for. Nobody forces you to sign on the dotted line. I served for 6 years, my brother is currently serving. My dad servd in Vietnam. I have 2 cousins in Iraq(1 maybe back already). I have 2 great uncles that died in WWII. I never was in the line of fire(US Navy) but I did have the unfortunate duty of carry dead people onboard ship. There is nothing like the smell of a burning, rotted human. |
