Its funny though that they would have turned him over to us if we could provide proof he did it. 911 was a criminal act not an act of a government per say. so the world court would have been the best avenue to pursue it. Imagine if we had done that we wouldnt have wasted a trillion in Iraq and killed so many many people

in hindsight no I do not approve of it in Afghanistan at the time it seemed like the right thing to do with all the media hysteria and the anthrax letters etc etc. But if you realy take a hard look at it, we had the world on our side after 911 and the sympathy of every country on the planet. How hard would it have been to let the world court handel it? so it would have taken a little time to get justice but here we are 5 years later and our country is a trillion dollars poorer most of the world despises us and we still do not have bin laden. No government ever plotted with the individual (bin laden) to attack us it was a terrorist group who did this, not the afghan government. There has been some speculation that some of those Bin laden tapes are fake by the way. Proof would involve solid evidence that it was him and the best way to do that would be a trial. So had we burried our dead and allowed the world court and the rest help us solve the case we would be much better off today and so would the rest of the world

Our government handled 911 like a bunch of play ground bullies rather than take the high road they took the low road, they are paid proffesionals of all the people they should have been the ones to calm the hysteria and allow international law to work. They of course didnt want that they wanted Iraq so they did what was expediant and whipped the public into a war frenzy to make it easier to do their dirty work

i was not brought to a war frenzy by anything GWB said or did.
i can watch the twin towers get hit by planes..and ya I want to make durn sure that doesnt happen again. and that it doesnt happen any closer to my own home.


it seems we have no allies though mr president. its just us. and the UN sure aint doing a durn thing still today to make this any easier on anybody.

Not realy catty, half of Iraq was under a no fly zone they were contained and the whole time that was going on korea built a bomb and thumbed there noses at us. Sure our country was attacked by a group of gangsters who they had aliegance to is anyones guese but most of them were saudi not iraqi. So how much better off would we be if our government acted like profesionals? tightned secururty, especialy along our border and turned all our spy agencies loose to find bin laden and present evidence to the world court he did it. I suspect to much dirty laundry would be aired in that process so it wasnt pursued. We had many choices after 911 and our government choose the worst one for our country and our people.

yes one would think that would have been fair warning. I dont get it catty thats why I have so many problems with 911. All that money they spend on spy satalites that can tap phones etc etc and a band of boxcutter weilding illiterate arabs managed to out wit us, fly and navigate a jumbo jet on target and create all these wars, it just doesnt make any sence at all.
