forgiveness?

"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."
Mahatma Gandhi

How far will you go to forgive someone for doing something offensive or bad?

Do you have a limit to forgiveness? If so explain why.

I only forgive those who acknowledge their wrong doings.

of course it is ... laugh

That was a bit of off-the-wall Brit humour!

Its funny, only northern americans talk in quarters about their heritage.

As europeans we are half-this, or half-that, or we are "this"

Actually, if we want to divide it up, I am half Scottish and half Cornish.

There are 5 areas that are classed as Celtic

Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany (in N.W. France) and Cornwall. (The pointy bit down at the bottom, on the right-hand side of England)

So although I am 100% Celtic by heritage, I like being English, although Im happy being British.

We are off-topic here, but I hope our Germanic host doesnt mind.

Its funny that when I used to drive past Stonehenge twice a week on my way to London, I used to feel a very strange pull to the place.

As a kid I was a regular visitor to the place and there is one stone that is much warmer than the others, even when there is snow on the ground.

30 years ago, you could climb on the stones and feel them and when you stood in the middle of the circle, it made all the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

Now you are not allowed within 30 metres of the stones ...

A disaster!

But the minority spoil it for the rest of us.

Full-moon parties and Solstice parties left such devastation that they cordon it off every month/6 months.

The Bluestones are a different stone to the Sarsen ones. Chemically they hold heat, as they are denser in composition.

The Bluestones come from a place in Wales which is over 150 miles away.

The Sarsen stones are from about 20 miles away.

Considering each one of the 80 stones weighs around 5 tons, and it was 4000 years ago, its a pretty amazing feat of engineering

They are as old as the oldest pyramids and are made from the same rock composition as the heads on Easter Island ... in the middle of the Pacific!

Listen to Jesus Christ. He was the greatest hypocrite who ever lived if you can trust the Bible to speak his words.

He's basically saying, "Fine. I forgive you. Now just go to hell because you aren't welcome at my place."

You have so many misconceptions that is not even funny.

my forgiveness policy requires them to tell The Lord Psycho. Why they wanna be forgiven??? Why does Lord Psycho need to forgive them. i accept my mistakes in my life. ive done bad things. If the Lord Psycho asks for forgiveness from some1 well he would apologize and give reason otherwise Lord Psycho just moves on.

just because one forgives doesn't expunge the situation ..just because one forgives doesn't means that the person forgiven will not do the same thing again ..just because one forgives doesn't mean the person they forgives have done anything that need forgiving ....

forgiveness is nothing more than a self induce form of contentment to ease a person's mind due to a circumstance that was beyond one's control to self induce a sense of control ...

"Ceasing to blame" works pretty well for me as a definition.

Excellent!

That's it exactly.

True repentance demands forgiveness, if not from others but from yourself.

Someone who has done horrible things but has not repented or does not understand the gravity of his acts deserves pity for his condition, not hatred. To forgive him is to simply be aware that he is wounded or dysfunctional or insane.

To love him is to see yourself in him and be aware the you and him are connected. Once, in a former life you may have been in his shoes.

His path is a long one and we are all headed to the same place.

JB
