Topic: You know what your problem is... | |

why when someone says that do I automatically want to gouge my own eyes out with a spork?
I was told today why I was single, by a friend who is married with 5 kids, and a friend who has been engaged for 3 years and has no intention of marrying the girl... "You expect too much" "You're criteria is too harsh" "You're too hard on people" "You arent' willing to train a man" "You hang out with younger people, you need to date an older man" "You'd rather go out with your friends then to actively pursue someone" My response was...."From what I've heard, you guys have someone and I still get laid more" The conversation was over then... Why does everyone want to FIX me? I'm not broken... |

FORK EM IF THEY CAN'T TAKE A JOKE.... My friend (the girl) said I have this new business associate who is single and good looking, I said "that's great you going to date him" she said "no for you" and I said "super I'm sure I'll meet him eventually" thats when the "you know what your problem is" started... |

Why does everyone want to FIX me? I'm not broken... gawd... if i had a bullet for every time some nosy busy-body do-gooder just HAD to step into things that simply aren't their business, i'd use all those bullets on them. i had a so-called 'friend' give me a bunch of grief last night about some online dating-related bull-honkey. in fact, she got really testy with me for some reason (perhaps because of her own rather ignominious and lackluster personal life) in the process, which would be fine if it weren't her business in the first place. as far as i'm concerned, whoever decides to get in your crap about your personal life had better have a couple of things straight before they even THINK about opening their mouth- - they'd better have their own personal issues figured out before talking, and they'd better not give you any lip about YOUR dating situation when they're in the same boat or worse. - they'd better understand that it's YOUR life, and that their opinion is worth about as much as the sand in junior's sandbox. |
