I never understand how things work with us humans either. I get told online how pretty I am and so forth but in real life when sitting like that no one walks up to me. So it isnt just guys who have this problem. I guess everyone is afraid of rejection or of just plain out idiots.

I have read some of your posts and honestly, you don't seem like the type of guy who should be picking up girls in bars. You seem like you are above that.

If you don't drink much, you should be wary of chicks in bars anyway. People who drink tend to want to hang out with other people who drink.

I am surprised that you don't get a lot of attention on here because you are clearly decent, intelligent, and kind.

Or maybe you should date that DJ. She seems to have her eye on you.

Uhm, check your facts here, I go to bars and i drink, when I'm single, there's not much else to do... I socialize and have a good time, I however an perfectly content at home also... or at a movie or three wheeling, or out to dinner, or making dinner, or doing nothing at all... so watch your generalizations huh???

The only generalization that I made is that people you meet in bars would tend to be people who drink and like to go to bars. If that is not his thing, perhaps he would be better lurking at Borders where the strongest thing they serve is espresso.

I in no way intended to pass judgement on people who do like to go to bars. You will never find me in one, but that is my choice. And so, I would never want to meet anyone there. That is all I am saying.

I agree with the " generalization " part of that Lily. Generalizations are only partially accurate...lol

One thing that always bothered me is that there is no " rarely " option under the ' Drinks ' section.

Occasionally can mean anything from the Holidays to using Washington's Birthday as an excuse to get polluted.

One thing about Mixie's post that I do ( in part ) agree with is that a lot of the time, people who drink, find people who don't to be " boring ". I KNOW that doesn't apply to everyone, but it's something that does apply more often than not.

@ Mixie....As my name says..I am just a guy. I don't feel like I am " above " anything or anyone, but I do agree with you that picking up a woman in a bar just isn't my style.

It just seems that my style doesn't do me a whole lot of good anywhere else either....lol
