we are very accepting of other cultures but we dont always like it..........some people really hate some minorities

Healthcare is available to me, right now, at near zero cost. I have excellent coverage, and much free assistance and other benefits, due to the nature of my employment.
It is not a thing to leave behind carelessly, nor would I be careless. Thus, changing from America to Canada for healthcare reasons is not an issue for me at present.
The business decisions involve simply that: True business decisions, and income matters, perhaps royalties, interest, taxation tables, and such.
But those things are not for this forum.

I could as easily choose several places in less civilized locales. They are not Canada. It is really an issue of national character.

I've heard good things about Vancouver. It has its own character, certainly, and the cultures which establish and mingle there are renowned.

I need to see and learn more of Canada. I know so little, in the real/experience sense, and I hope for the next few years to allow me to travel the length of Canada somewhat leisurely.

My ancestry heralds from the eastern edge, after they jumped the puddle from the Norse and English areas.

Mannerisms? California-->You. Me? I blend fairly well. Pick up lingo and local character very easily. After a short while, folks wonder what test tube birthed me, since my upbringing does not show.

Of course we'd be respectful. A Canadian maiden is not to be mistreated. It would bring a sort of disgrace upon the American's family name.
