Topic: Ladies wait for first contact??? | |

When guys check out my profile, and I don't find them creepy, I message them first...

just wondering how many ladies wait to be contacted first by someone they might be intereted in online, or whether they initiate messaging when they see someone of interest I'm guilty of waiting for someone to contact me. Although, on occasion, I have wrote a few 'thanks for looking at my profile' messages. I usually get a respose...we e-mail once or twice and that is about it. |

"Datable" can be a very subjective term. Generally if they were not only recently released from prison, notice I only say recently, or are not battling Hep C, I might consider it. I have lowered my expectations. Yeah, I have had some issues with people's attitudes towards my standards, too -- mainly from women who want to argue with me about my "deal-breakers" or those who think their mission in life is to "domesticate" me. Yikes. No thank you! Having been married once, I learned my lesson. So now maybe I'm a little "selective." Is a 160 IQ REALLY too much to ask? |

10% Of the time I write to someone that after peeking at their profile and seeing something that warrents comment. Most time they are too far away. 90% I wait, and wait and wait and wait and wait................................................................................................

Even before I started seeing someone, I occasionaly emailed someone first if they have looked at my profile and had a really interesting or unique profile, or added me as a friend/favorite, but I guess was too shy to say anything first. I also always reply, I think it's rude to just read and delete without at least saying hi, what's up.

Selective is okay because you cant just go out with anyone if you can’t have a discussion at least. I know I left my Mensa membership card in the laundry so I won’t pass the test. |

just wondering how many ladies wait to be contacted first by someone they might be intereted in online, or whether they initiate messaging when they see someone of interest interesting thread you started. Doesn't the Match thingy make it easier. At least you know the ladies are a little interested. It's like make eye contact from across the room. |

I cant wrap my head around it. They just arent hip to anthropogenesis at ALL. |

just wondering how many ladies wait to be contacted first by someone they might be intereted in online, or whether they initiate messaging when they see someone of interest Considering I don't even cruise profiles, I usually respond to who writes me. But then I am not here to find a guy. If it happens so be it. But it's not my purpose. Once in a while I'll see someone on the forums I think is interesting or whatever .. I'll pop them a note. Otherwise it's just respond when I get mail, which is often anyway. |

When guys check out my profile, and I don't find them creepy, I message them first... oh ya .. and I'll write a guy once in a while, who has checked out my profile first. Altho I think if a guy looks at your profile and doesn't write you .. well, I'm not real impressed. LOL |
