Thank you guys, but I am not a fan of Linux. I have tried it, but found myself going back to XP and Vista. Do not like Vista either. But hey can not win them all.

Vista really is bad.....

Stick with XP......now....do you still need help?????

Yes, I still need help.
I really want to do this once and for all.

Yes I have the full Version of XP, vista is on my laptop which I am using right now. Sorry for the delay in my response as I said I am trying to tinker with it.

The only thing I do not seem to be happy with is the scrolling it is really jumpy and going to the options for it is not helping at all.

My first thought would be to make sure you install the latest drivers for your chipset and your videocard. Chipset drivers will come from your MB manufacturer.

Also might want to check to see if smooth scrolling is enabled under internet options, advanced, browsing, use smooth scrolling.

Sorry I haven't had time (well the patience to be honest) to look at all the replies, but basically all your symptoms point to incorrect or the lack of drivers.

If XP loaded for the first time with the "Windows Classic" skin, then some files were not properly copied over during the installation process. This is definately 1 thing Vista is better at (Vista copies an image of itself).

Try getting the latest drivers (specifically graphics driver) and do a "memtest" (google it), as faulty RAM can really mess up an XP installation.
