Is it wrong for me to be goofy, and doing just about anything for laughs?
I am told, that I am quite intelligent, by many people , from family, to doctors...(for my age-26 in september)...

But I am not very often on the serious side, when it comes to general conversation, unless i am asked/told to be serious for the time being.
I have been told by many that it is a sign that i am plenty secure with myself, and some have said I am , "immature"...

I believe that acting serious all the time adds undue stress to an already stressful life, so I try to make light of every situation that I can...
If a friend is slippin toward depression, I make it my place to try to make them laugh...to the point of being annoying sometimes, but I usually get my laugh.

Or one of my favorites, is to say to someone I dont know, in a store, or even on the street, something like, " Excuse me, but this is a smile only zone, and I dont see one on you."
CORNY! Very much so, but I say corny things on purpose, because they often make people smile or laugh....some have even said thank you, for me giving them a reason to smile.

So, my question is, if I am pretty good at making people smile and laugh at my own expense, why does it seem I cant find a decent woman?

Goofy, does not mean I am not serious about a relationship....after all, I believe a true heart will show through the jokes....it is just part of me.

Being that this is a question for women I won't read through all that crap in the first post.

I do want to say that I am sick of these "Ladies only" types of posts. Most seem to be a cheap way to get the attention of females. Not saying this is one as I have no idea but it is an opportunity to vent and say something so I am.

There is nothing wrong with being hilarious, Thats actually one thing I look for in a guy. If he can make me smile or laugh then its a good thing, you just have to wait for the right girl that will laugh at all your jokes, but its more like everyone has a goofy side to them, some like to show it others don't

Or because society "norms", have distorted the perception of reality for many people, to the point that they cant see something real, when it, (or he) is right in their face....maybe that could be some of the problem.

Sorry about your luck, bro, but I AM here to meet women, to make friends and eventually maybe more,, so I guess it would stand to reason that I would direct most of my posts to females wouldn't it.....

Use some caution Kristee. You are new here but realize that there are a ton of players on these sites.

Picture someone who has a megaphone and goes into a single bar. After seeing someone who is responsive the sweet talking starts. This is why I hate these "women only" posts. They always seem to be done by new members to the site.

I think most of us do like someone who can walk on the lighter side, but when there is need to address the serious issues joking them off can be taken as a sign that you're not serious about the relationship. It just depends on how far it's taken. Can you discuss matters of the heart with a woman, without sticking a finger down your throat and pretending to gag? I mean, really! How old ARE you? Oh sorry, I was having a flashback.

I spent time on the forums talking to people. Men and women. That's what you should be doing too if you want someone meaningful to enter your life.

I was real and showed who I am to others. You made a post and now have admitted it was to play women. You want them to make responses and then you will work your charm. That isn't being real in my book.

I have some fantastic friends here. I love my friends. I didn't come here with "luck" in mind. It was about finding someone for the long term and I have been successful. You are someone who wants to get lucky and "maybe more".

I have hung out with men who are jerks into using women and I hate most men as a result. Men like that make it hard for the nice guys out there. They make women question if there are any good guys left.
