I was clicking over to a poetry site ...

and then all of a sudden...
i started getting strange screens popping up,
telling me i had viruses
trying to invade my system
and would i like to clean them up ?

well, i clicked on yes...

was that my first mistake ...

or the lack of firewall, or ? or ?

and it told me for $ 49.95 , huh laugh

it would install a program
to further protect my system from attack drinker

well...i didn't click on that...noway happy

fortunately..i have a good friend , drinker
my old neighbor...glasses

who is very computer savvy, smokin
He built this computer for me flowerforyou

and he works for the State in town here
and just happened to be available to come over...

He told me that whatever happened,
it is installed on my hard drive ,
and he will have to stop back by next week,
when he has the time , with some parts and programs
to see what he can do to remove it ....
and solve the problem...

meanwhile, he found a program...< Spyware Terminator >
that we are running now and doing constant scans...

soooo, basically,
i'm just getting invaded with pop ups
from this so called < internet antivirus >
and then once in a while...

a certain site i get on
will get shut down...
or
i have also been being occasionally
denied access to a website,

but then when i close it out,
and try again,
i usually can get back in to the site...happy

get the software.........superantispyware

www.superantispyware.com/download

Install it then update it's database files....

then reboot your computer and push F8 key constantly till the start menu comes up and strat in safe mode.......

Run the software in safe mode and it'll get rid of most, if not all of your problem.....

You have to do this in safe mode to avoid the programs causing this to load into memory. And to get the one out.....that's there now....

Vanessa,
You should run spyware and virus checks maybe once a week. I run "Spyware Doctor" for spyware and I have "Norton Anti-Virus". They both run all the time, but I still run a scan of each every week and I do not have any problems. Do you defrag your registry at all?

There is not enough money in the world to get me to use Vista. I will use XP until it goes down the toilet.

AVAST antivirus... the best around.... (Also stops pop-ups)

And Spybot....to keep out Spyware and Malware...

The only way to go..

Also...MV RegClean 5.0 to clean-up your Registry after deleting files, installing programs/software..

All of these are Free!! None better...bigsmile
