If a women says she has been single for 5 years would you think "there must be something wrong with her???" Or... would you not really be bothered how long a woman has been single? Is there a point when your alarm bells would start ringing?

I wouldn't necessarily call it alarm... But I would be curious as to why?

yes and no because if a guy really hurt them then they would be less likely to be in the dating scene but guys are the same way tho. i have been single for a few years because I have a problem trusting women because I was cheated on once. It depends on the person but you will never know unless you take a chance.

I've been single for a year...i don't think time has anything to do with it... It wouldn't bother me at all if a man chooses to be single for awhile at least I know he's not jumping from bed to bed

I've been widowed for 9 yrs now. Had a couple of relationships in there but....nothing in the last two full years. I think alarms, for me, would go off faster if someone jumped from person to person.
