A representative of the McCain was interviewed by Chris Wallace Sunday morning. First this video of a McCain ad was shown.

NARRATOR: Life in the spotlight must be grand. But for the rest of us, times are tough. Obama voted to raise taxes on people making just $42,000.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

WALLACE: Mr. Davis, especially that last sentence, isn't that misleading?

DAVIS: Nothing misleading about it. Barack Obama voted for a budget resolution that would have increased taxes on people, families, making $42,000. What's misleading about that?

WALLACE: Well, in fact, it only would be single people making $42,000. It would be families making over $60,000. But Obama — as you say, he voted for a non-binding budget resolution that overall talked about doing away with the Bush tax cuts.

In fact, he says, that's not his tax plan, that he supports a middle-class tax cut. And I want to put something up on the screen. The non-partisan Tax Policy Center says someone making $37,000 a year under Obama's plan would get a tax cut of $892. Under McCain's plan, they get a tax cut of $113.

So, ladies and gentlemen are you better off financially today than you were eight years ago? Is the country more or less secure than it wsa eight years ago. McCain tries to distance himself from Bush saying he would not continue his failed policies from one side of his mouth but brags that he voted with Bush 90% of the time. Which is the real McCain?

WALLACE: Given that, I want you to respond to this clip from an Obama ad. Take a look.

McCain: The President and I agree on most issues. There was a recent study that showed I voted with the President over 90% of the time.

[end video]

WALLACE: In fact, Mr. Davis, Sen. McCain is understating it. Last year, he voted to support Bush legislation 95% of the time. Given that, if the country’s worse off, isn’t both the President and John McCain, aren’t they both responsible?

DAVIS: Well, look, if you want to talk about history, then you can make all the cases you want to make.

WALLACE: You’re talking about history, you’re talking about the last four years.

Yes, we are not fighting their citizens, we are fighting insurgents. I don't like you calling me names, especially when you know what I was talking about.

Hell, they don't really know who they are fighting over there. That is part of the problem. They use the term "insurgent" to cover their asses but they really don't know who they are fighting, they are just trying to stay alive doing what the big boys tell them to do. It is sad really.

McCain is trying so hard to get the republican vote he has flip flopped so many times it is hard to keep track of what he stands for. I saw a commercial for him the other day and he slams obama for ridiculous stuff and then the only standing point he has for himself is that he is for renewable energy...lol Absolutely stupid that anyone would follow him.

Dragoness, to fill you in, Glenn was taking what I said out of context. Did you read the thread that was started by some guy who basically said America would lose a fight to Russia? He said we were at war with Iraq and couldn't even beat them.

I then stated that our war was in Iraq and not with Iraq or its people. That is what makes it such a hard war, because as you say, its hard to know who the enemy is. Glenn just likes to take peoples stuff out of context to try and make him look smart and others look dumb.
